Discussion about the situation – may need to work together better and have discussion with school as an association rather than just a club. NDHA need more formal
information to determine any changes.
I.T./Web & Publicity –
o Kylie has put in article to Herald about new building and start of season
Junior Coordinator –
o Jayne has been talking to Linda at Tatiara regarding U13 teams for June long weekend – will have dates for trials soon.

o Lucindale very footy/netball heavy as well and don’t often hear about hockey o Zone trials were on the weekend – Gayle and Chelsea selected on behalf of NDHA o Selectors for USE U13s and expressions of interest for coaches and managers need to
be done. Need to follow up with formalising system.

o Clubs to let Andrew know who their umpiring coordinator is.

General Business
Discussion on situation for Redlegs – some ideas about recruitment but may be leaving it too late to try a new approach. Talked about what may be pushing people away, e.g. cost, requirement to help in canteen, etc, work commitments, choosing to have year off, retiring.
Moved: D. James, 2
ndK.Stewart – That we place an advertisement in the Herald “looking for
men and women to play”. Carried
Will hold a special meeting in 2 weeks to follow this situation up further and determine whether Redlegs are able to nominate a men’s and women’s team this season. Suggested putting out flyers to schools, notice boards, etc and brochures to letterboxes.
Moved: J. Aylesbury, 2
ndM. Hutchesson – That approval be given to print 1650 flyers to be delivered across Naracoorte at a delivery cost of $42. Carried
These flyers need to be given to Jenny by Monday. Kylie and Gayle will organise design and printing of flyers (3 to an A4 page).
Come & Try day – have advertised our Come & Try day to be from 11.30-12.30 prior to first matches on Round 1 (29th April)
Hook in2 Hockey – cost of H2H program as provided by Hockey Australia/Hockey SA is
prohibitive at $85 per child. Will be better for our members to run a similar program to previous years but call it U9 Mini Hockey, charging $30 per player (covering our costs and insurance costs for player). Stick packs – still have some packs from last year which cost $40 ea. Just Hockey have basic packs available for $30. Jayne & Adele will follow up with Sports Power to see if they may have an option.
Star Club – hoping to finalise our Star Club Accreditation application this week – all parts have been completed, just needs to be assessed.
Responsible Service of Alcohol training online information has been provided to clubs to pass on to members. Cost of $18.
Sports Vouchers – are only able to claim the amount that is charged by NDHA/Club. The amount that Hockey SA require to be paid online cannot be refunded. Once fees have been paid we are not allowed to refund – Sports Voucher must be presented instead of paying fees.
Reminder to clubs to follow up members who have an up to date Police Check so we can keep our records up to date.
Darts have secured Hockey World as a sponsor and they are also wanting to have exclusive access in return for sponsorship (proposed $2000 worth of gear and $500 in vouchers). NDHA not keen to give exclusive access to either Hockey World or Just Hockey at the moment.
Requested that Hockey World provide written offer and Just Hockey as well.
Darts will invite U13s from all clubs to attend a training and pizza night on 19th April. Intending for Hockey World to be there.
