Prepare initial consultation document setting out a) criteria to be applied when selecting learning goals for the core; b) a starter set of 30 – 100 learning goals; and c) extra-disciplinary themes and schemes

18^th June

Determine which external stakeholders will be consulted 18^th June

Approve initial consultation document targeted at a) the appropriate ranking of criteria; b) learning goals; c) extra-disciplinary themes and schemes

25^th June

Send initial document out for internal and external consultation

Four week consultation period – deadline 20^th July 23rd July

Prepare initial recommendations, including the selection and grouping of learning goals by paper plus paper and inter-paper themes and schemes

30^th July

Approve initial recommendations for consultation 6^th August

Send recommendations out for internal consultation

Three week consultation period – deadline 24^th August 27^th August

Prepare final recommendations for College Board 3^rd September

Send recommendations to College Board (1 October)

Possible deferral by College Board to allow further consultation with departments, USC etc.
