because the footpath has ended so instead I have to get my children to cross the road continue walking but then have to cross again soon after as the other footpath has ended too (prime example .... squire way) My children ride their bikes on the footpath as it’s safer than being on the road especially being beginner riders (5 & 3 years old) this makes it hard when pedestrians are using the footpath. I am teaching my children to allow space for pedestrians but this can be a hard task for beginners/young children and narrow footpaths. Also very stressful having to cross the road so many times rather than just staying safe on the footpath to continue our journey around the block.
