Class reports
Class reports are made available through the NAPLAN portal. The class reports give the following information for each test question:
• student responses to each question
• scale score and achievement bands
• raw score for each student
• performance of the class as a whole
• performance of boys
• performance of girls
• performance of the state cohort.
Schools are encouraged to check all reports carefully. Schools should download and save the reports and make them available to administration staff and class teachers for checking.
Querying a student report
If any perceived errors are identified, principals must submit an application to query the associated student report by the last day of Term 3. To apply:
• go to the NAPLAN portal
• log in with school BIC
• complete and submit an Application to query student report.
Interpreting class reports
For each question, the class reports enable teachers to:
• investigate common error patterns
• compare the overall performance of the class and state cohort
• compare the performance of boys and girls within the class.
Scanned images of students’ writing are also available on the QCAA website at the same location as the class reports. Schools should download these if they wish to keep them for future
