This special 'Get financially ready for Christmas' workshop, held at The Hills Shire Council, aims to help you create a plan to limit overspending at Christmas, discover new ways you can find money to put towards Christmas from the income you have now, and how to avoid having a financial hangover in 2020.
CONNECTING THROUGH BOUNDARIES Friday, 8 November 2019 | 10am - 12pm
This interactive workshop at The Hills Shire Council will teach you how to set limits, create healthy boundaries, and enhance your interaction with others.
Effective understanding and application of professional and personal boundaries underpins all work in the community sector, particularly for volunteers.
The Hills Shire is fortunate to have a large and dedicated group of volunteers who play a critical role in helping Council provide important services to the community while forming new friendships
and learning new skills.
Have a look at some of the training opportunities provided by Council for its volunteers in all areas where they contribute to the

ANTI-BULLYING WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS AND HIGH SCHOOL AGED STUDENTS
Monday, 25 November 2019 | 5:30pm - 7:30pm
The law requires schools and organisations to be proactive and take reasonable steps to prevent bullying and harassment in the workplace. This workshop, held at The Hills Shire Council, covers a range of topics such as the types of bullying, current statistics, the role of the bystander, strategies to respond to poor
behaviour, empathy, respect, cyber safety, and where to seek help.

This workshop, held at The Hills Shire Council, goes over how to read key financial documents, calculate your business break-even point, understand the cash gap that bring organisations down and other essential indicators and strategies that can help improve cash flow and profits.

Aperture Club's Smartphone Photography Workshop will give you the

Modern digital cameras offer a daunting array of functions and possibilities. In this workshop, you'll be working in the field, not in the studio, so we'll be able to combine a little theory with lots of practical demonstrations and group

BARISTA CRASH COURSE
Saturday, 21 March 2020 | 9am - 12pm & 1pm - 4pm
This Basic Barista course, run by Catch Training at Castle Hill, helps you to begin your journey to a successful career in coffee; or perhaps you just want to make a better coffee on your own machine at home. Either way, our friendly and experienced training facilitator will help you learn your way around a manual Espresso Coffee Machine. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion to add to their resume.
DEALING WITH DIFFICULT PEOPLE Thursday, 26 March 2020 | 6pm - 8pm
Like it or not, dealing with difficult people is something we have to face from time to time. At this workshop, held at The Hills Shire Council, you'll learn techniques that will help you deal with these people and manage conflict. It will also help you to develop tools that will assist you to resolve even the trickiest of situations.
'PROVIDE CPR' WORKSHOP

This workshop covers the practical application of CPR as well as providing further information surrounding the causes and uses of CPR. Run by Catch Training at Castle Hill, this course has no prerequisites - so all are welcome!

This workshop, held at The Hills Shire Council, will explore safe conversation topics, helping you to identify ways to get to know and engage with your client without making them or yourself uncomfortable or upset. This workshop also includes coffee, tea and biscuits.

Provide First Aid, at Catch Training Castle Hill, is the newest workplace First Aid training qualification and also the most popular First Aid course.
