I participated in the Orientation Programme
(induction to Massey for all new students) and / or Massey Guides (the leadership programme)
Yes 49%
No 51%
Ideas or suggestions I would like to raise about Orientation and / or Massey Guides
• It was very long and many a bit repetitive
• More Massey guides would be good
• It would be great if the orientation for post grad and international student could be more practical.
• Need more entertainment
• Include things for students other than first years
• Provide more information about the library
I have used / participated in the student events on campus, such as the Wednesday lunchtime events

Ideas and suggestions I would like to raise about the student events on campus
• They are very well organized!
• Advertise them more.
• Clubs are performing really well; for them to increase their vibrancy, they should be involved more and more. Collaborative events between clubs is a good idea altogether.
I have used International Student Support -
student visa renewal, international pastoral care, etc.

Ideas and suggestions I would like to raise about International Student Support on campus
• So far the team is just wonderful
• Hoping that Service for visa renewal can cover family members of student (dependants)
• They don't tend to help students sincerely when it's close to 5pm
I have used Spiritual Services such as
Chaplaincy, Islamic Prayer Space, spiritual societies
Yes 24%

Ideas and suggestions I would like to raise about Spiritual Services on campus
• The weekly meditation is helpful, but it is in a office that students commonly don't go. Wish it is at a better, more accessible location (like the centre?), giving a more easy to approach feeling.
• The Centre is an awesome place to study with such lovely, friendly people.
• I go to the centre everyday for lunch. Best place on campus.
I have used / participated in student
Accommodation Services (Halls) activities
Yes 47%
No 53%
Ideas and suggestions I would like to raise about Accommodation Services on campus
• The intramurals are great
• Too expensive
• Didn't like the campus accommodation coz everyone concentrates on assignments and little time for
socialization
I have used / participated in student clubs, societies or cultural groups such as Alpine Club, Photographic Society, African Students Club, UNIQ, etc.
Yes 59%

Ideas and suggestions I would like to raise about clubs, societies and cultural groups on campus
• The new ICC building will be a stepping stone in the lives of clubs at Massey. A collective periodical or online newsletters informing students about all clubs' all activities may be a good way to
increase their presence and signups.
• Increased exposure to advertisements and recruitments for clubs would be appreciated.
• really really really need Massey's own LGBT support club, UNIQ covers the whole city
• Is there a directory somewhere of all clubs?
I have used / participated in activities in the Recreation Centre such as exercise classes, gym, weights.
Yes 65%
No 35%
Ideas and suggestions I would like to raise about Recreation Centre on campus
• Gym court have been closed for a long time
• Removal of certain unused equipment and replaced with squat racks as generally these are used more than often and crowded
• I love the gym, however for new-comers it would be better if a personal trainer takes one around operating/using the equipment
• It would be nice to have a system that could tell you how busy the gym was before you got there. Information of number of users entering and exiting the gym through the entry and exit gates could be made available in real time on the gym app to avoid congestion and encourage users to go during the quiet times.
I have used the Counselling & Health Services such as counsellors, doctors, nurses, flu jabs

What do you expect from your Counselling &
Health Services?
• Fast action and concern
• Privacy and efficiency
• Stop treating students as students, don't just prescribe Panadol and tell us to come back if it still hurts. Actually try to give information and a likely cause.
• Exactly what they are - friendly, helpful and sometimes busy but we shouldn’t complain since it’s free.
• To work on reducing wait times for the students in seeing the doctors
• To be seen and helped when desperately needed.
If you were in charge of the service what changes would you make?
• Friendly and more helpful receptionists. And for the doctors to be more friendly and not as if you are wasting their time.
• More emergency appointments
• The long questionnaire each time I have to fill out to see a counselling services put me off.
• The doctors service is always fully booked and so I have to go off campus when I am sick which is not ideal.
• Add more doctors
If you were in charge of the service what changes would you make? (cont.)
• I would make sure people can come see them if they are worried about someone else's mental health
• Have a special counsellor for urgent cases and another for less urgent cases.
• Better way to book appointments.
• I would do something that would reduce the waiting time to get an appointment, because sometimes, to get a doctor's
appointment, we have to wait for two weeks.
Would you be prepared to pay more for a better service?

• Difficult to access
• Hardship grants should be easier to get

Service eg. CareerHub, Strengths@Massey, interview and CV workshops, Connect
session
Yes 49%
No 51%
Do you have any ideas or suggestions about how you would like to improve this service?
• Hopefully include a proofread service of CV, even it requires a reasonable payment, that will be so helpful.
• Keep up the online classes, it is easy to access, and the recordings too!
• Strengths@massey is really good and should be continued in second semester
• Promote career and paper advisors more - they are brilliant
How would you rank the importance to you of
following student services? (1 least important
– 6 most important)
If the Library was able to extend opening hours, what would you use the most (in order of preference 1-7, with 1 being highest preference)
