On behalf of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and myself let me congratulate on your well-deserved success.

We are incredibly lucky that we are able to celebrate your achievements during this grim time. The coronavirus pandemic has altered the world immeasurably and along with it our lives. During this time of uncertainty, it is important for us to be strong, maintain our health not only physical but mental health as well. We must remain resilient in the face of adversity as we �ind different ways to adapt and discover what works, that’s how we’re going to start reclaiming parts of our society and life.

On this happy occasion, we must commit to work together that would surely lead us to the future we want. We must rise to embrace the challenges of the “new normal”.

I am so proud of the work being done at IUB even in the face of dif�iculty; an institution committed to setting up their students for a successful future.

Today, you are being recognized for the excellence of your academic performance. You are receiving these awards because you belong to a relatively small group of top performers at our university. You have worked hard for this, and we want to acknowledge your efforts and your achievements.

At the same time, you should take this moment to re�lect and recognize those who created the circumstances under which you could be so successful: your parents, your relatives, your supportive friends and classmates, your current and past teachers and whoever else believed in you and encouraged you.

The achievements that we are celebrating today, however, have been accomplished before the world has been taken over by the COVID-19 pandemic. The new situation brings a new set of challenges. The purpose of these awards, therefore, is not only to recognize your achievements, but also to encourage you to continue to excel, even under the ‘new normal.” Rise to the challenge and keep making us proud.
