Applications are invited from the prospective students desiring to have a one year Weekend Masters in Environmental Sciences and Management consisting three trimesters which is offered by the Department of Environmental Sciences, Jahangirnagar University. This program provides the degree of Masters of Science in Environmental Sciences and Management for those who have completed Bachelor degree and want to obtain extensive knowledge and skills in environmental management and sustainability.
Duration : One Year (3 Semesters) Class Hours : Friday and Saturday (half day) Major areas:
✓ Industrial Health, Safety and Environmental Management (IHSEM)
✓ Industrial Ecology, Waste Management and Waste Water Treatment (IEWWT)
✓ Climate Change and Disaster Management (CCDM), Ecology, Biodiversity and Nature Conservation (EBNC).

Entry Requirements:
✓ Minimum 4 years Bachelor’s (Honours) Degree or 3 years honours and 1 year Masters Degree in any relevant subject/discipline from any accredited institute.
✓ No 3rd Division/Class or CGPA below 2.5 (or equivalent) at any level(s) of education.
✓ Academic degree or Professional experience relevant to environmental science/ study/engineering/management/policy/compliance will get priority

Admission Test:
• An admission test in MCQ method will be taken based on basics in environmental knowledge. Medium of admission test is English.
• Candidates have to attend an interview immediately after admission test with all original academic and experience certificates. So, applicants are advised to bring all documents on the day of admission test.
• Final selection will be made based on performance in admission test, previous academic records and job experiences.
Application Procedure:
Application can be done either online or by direct communication to WMES office, at the Department of Environmental Sciences. You can follow any one method.
Online Application Process:
✓ First, visit the website http://www.wmes.iitju.edu.bd/
✓ Click WMES Online Application
✓ Fill up the online application form
After successfully completing the application form, you will get a WMES PIN No.
through SMS to your given mobile number. Please keep the PIN No. safely. Now make a payment of Tk. 1000/- as application fee from your/agent's Dutch Bangla Mobile Banking account to WMES-ENV.JU biller code 2311.

✓ Using your/agent’s Dutch Bangla Mobile Banking Account, dial *322#
✓ From the menu appeared, select 1 for Payment
✓ Select 1 for Bill Pay
✓ Enter 2311 as Biller ID
✓ Enter your WMES PIN No. as Bill Number
✓ Enter 1000 as Amount
✓ Enter your/agent’s mobile banking PIN
✓ Collect Txnid (TRANSACTION ID) from the return SMS
Now, visit the website http://www.wmes.iitju.edu.bd/ again.
✓ Click Admit Card Download.
✓ Log in with your WMES PIN No. and Txnid (Transaction ID).
✓ Upload your scanned signature and passport size photograph.
✓ After submission, download/print your admit card.
Keep your Admit Card safely and bring it on the day of admission test.
Offline Application Process:
Prescribed application form can be collected from WMES office of Department of Environmental Sciences during office hours (or can be downloaded from wmes.iitju.edu.bd). Completed application form along with two recent passport size color photographs and an amount of Tk. 1000/- (in cash) should be submitted to WMES office of Department of Environmental Sciences during office hour (including Friday and Saturday) between 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Candidates must collect the Admit Card for admission test while submitting the application form.
