Call for applications under Erasmus+ Program for a semester at the University of Maribor, Slovenia, Europe.
Dear Students,
This is an open call for applications to avail the opportunity to study for a semester at the University of Maribor, Slovenia, Europe under Erasmus+ Program. “The Best Universities in New Europe in 2018” by the Times Higher Education magazine ranked the University of Maribor among the top 10 research-intensive universities from the new EU member states.
The Main Attractions:
1. The credits that you will earn at the University of Maribor will be recognized by IUB provided that the courses would be pre-approved by the Department/School;
2. You will spend the summer semester at the University of Maribor (February 25, 2019 to May 31, 2019);
3. You would receive 820 EUR for your travel (difference to the actual cost would be borne by you) PLUS a stipend of 800 EUR per month which should be enough for comfortable living as a student in the city of Maribor.
At this stage we only need your expression of interest. You do not need to fill out any
application forms yet. Before sending your expression of interest you are strongly encouraged to discuss this with the head of your Department.
Basic Eligibility Criteria:
• The scholarship is applicable for both undergraduate and graduate students. However, you need to be at least a 2nd year student to apply;
• You will have to take a minimum of 20 ECTS credits (4 courses) at the University of Maribor during that semester (4 courses);
• To fulfill the English Language requirement, you will need one of the following:
o IELTS: 4.0 or higher;
o TOEFL: IBT 42 of higher;
o An assessment by your English teacher that your English language
competency is at least B1 Level according to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (See CEFR -

The deadline is tight. You need to be proactive and you will have to be available/reachable over the next 2/3 weeks so we could work together on submitting your applications.
