Rationale: Basic biology of aquatic organism is very important for the student of biological science. Therefore this course is designed to orient students about the basic biology, Ecology the classification and ecological and economical importance of Aquatic organisms.
Intended Learning Outcome
At the end of the course (Section A) the students will be able to-
1. Discuss about some importance terminology and the significance of zoological knowledge for the fisheries students.
2. Give an overview of general biology and ecology of representative Vertebrate fishes.
3. Give idea about evolution and adaptive radiation of fishes.
4. Discuss about the animal ethics and welfare

Rationale: This course is designed to disseminate information on identification of the important aquatic fauna of Bangladesh and to know the dissection procedure, identification of internal organ system of some important aquatic fauna.
Intended Learning Outcome
At the end of the course (Section A) the students will be able to- 1. Identify the important organs of Bony fish.
2. Collection and preservation of Aquatics specimens
3. Compare the external and internal organ system of important aquatic fauna of Bangladesh.
Course requirement: Each student should have a lab coat and experience to working with fish samples.
