IUB’S INCENTIVES FOR REGISTRATION OF SUMMER-2020
Summer Semester 2020 will begin from the first week of July 2020. Classes will be conducted online. Necessary preparation is ongoing for smooth and uninterrupted conduct of the classes online. The students are requested to be prepared for undertaking courses online. Please maintain online liaison with your own department/faculty members in order to be updated about various academic decisions and attend the preparatory classes for Summer 2020.
1. Registration Fee
Semester Fee/Activities fee for all students registering for Summer 2020 will be waived.
Students in financial difficulties may pay their registration fee in three equal installments.
No interest will be charged for payment of the 2nd and 3rd installments.
Freshers in financial difficulties will be allowed to attend classes by paying the admissions fee of Tk 25,000 only. Freshers may also pay their registration fee in three equal installments but will get additional time for payment of first installment.
Live in the Field Experience [LFE] for the returning students will remain postponed till the situation becomes normal. However, in Summer, Book LFE will be offered for those students in their last semester.
2. Minimum Credit for Registration
Students may continue as regular students of IUB with 6 Credits [2 courses] only instead of 9 Credits for Summer. In extreme extenuating circumstances a student may also continue the semester with 3 credits [1 course] for Summer-2020.
Students availing financial aid/scholarship/tuition fee discount may register for 6 credits only yet continue with financial aid/scholarship/tuition fee discount for Summer-2020.
3. Financial Aid for Summer
An amount of Tk 20 Crore has been allocated for scholarship and financial aid for the students in the upcoming academic year.
New categories of Scholarship /Financial Aid / Tuition Discount have been added keeping in view the financial difficulties of COVID-19 Pandemic in the country.
Students who availed any need-based Financial Aid/Tuition Fee Discount in Spring 2020 will continue to avail the same in Summer 2020 if registered for a minimum of 6 credits.

Result of SSC& HSC/O&A Levels. : 50/100%
Need Based Financial Aid- From Semester 1. : 20-100%
Tuition Fee Discounts.
Female Students. : 10%
Sibling discount : 50%
Special Tuition Discount from Semester 1. : Up to 100%
Son/Daughter of IUB Alumni : 10 %

Corporate Discount : 10-30%

6. Students on Probation
The students who were on probation will be allowed an additional chance to improve their performance as per IUB’s policy. No cancellation of admission will be executed for being on probation at the end of Spring 2020 and Summer 2020.
7. Admission – Summer 2020
Online admission of Undergrade and Graduate students is underway. Students are requested to visit the appropriate web-portal for securing admission.
Undergraduate admission for Summer-2020 will be confirmed based on the result of SSC/HSC and O/A Levels examinations and the minimum admissions criteria of the university. Students are requested to submit relevant papers in support of their credentials.
Final confirmation of admission will be notified online by admissions office. Students can download the admission payment-slip.
Newly enrolled students [freshers] are requested to pay their tuition fee by 30 June 2020 unless otherwise extended.
Freshers in financial difficulties will be allowed to attend classes by paying the admissions fee of Tk 25,000 only. They can pay their registration fee for the semester in installments.
