BACKGROUND:
Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ) is a multi-disciplinary academic institute, which intends to promote global peace and social justice through quality education, research, training and advocacy. CPJ is committed to identifying and promoting sustainable and inclusive solutions to a wide range of global concerns and issues, including fragility, conflict and violence. The institute has multiple interventions in Cox’s Bazar under its Refugee Studies Unit (RSU). We are looking for few enthusiastic and self-motivated Project Assistant for a newly launched project supported by UNICEF according to the below Terms of Reference.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Project Assistant will be responsible for providing programmatic assistance to the project team through communication and implementing activities in the field. The position will support to organise trainings, workshops, seminars and research activities with the support of project team and volunteers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide programmatic assistance to the project team through communication and implementing activities in the field;
• Support to organise trainings, workshops, seminars and research activates with the support of project team and volunteers;
• Ensure logistics, finance and administrative support for the smooth implementation of project activities;
• Support to the project related admin, finance, monitoring and learning issues;
• Orient, supervise and train the community volunteers;
• Support volunteers for their day to planning and implementation of activities;
• Ensure reporting and documentation of the project activities and maintain the beneficiary database;
• Liaison with the CiC, Camp’s Site Management, Upazila Administration and community institutes;
• Maintain field communication with the volunteers, target adolescents-youths, parents and relevant beneficiaries;
• Ensure PSEA awareness and related grievance mechanism as per the office policies;
• Participate at the camp level meetings and coordinate accordingly; and
• Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the project management team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
▪ Bachelor Degree, preferably in a relevant discipline.
▪ At least 1-year professional NGO experience will be preferred;
▪ Good Command over written and oral English as well as MS Office Suite
