Umme Muslima is a powerful writer.
But, her views cant be accepted, the way she tried to generalize her idea and reached at the conclusion.
The relation between man and woman is probably the most complex
relation. I think social, cultural, political and economical context should be taken into consideration while understanding and analyzing this relation.
Woman lost empowerment when question of “private property” rose.
Change of “relation to the means of production” change any relation in any given society.
Today we not only live in a man dominated society, we live in society dominated by “neo liberal economic policy” ,where free market economy ,deregulated trade ,free market democracy and culture, basically
jeopardizing our very livelihood globally.
If we fail to address how this free market economic, cultural and political syndrome alienates people, we fail to recognize and generalize relation between man and woman.
