Smart Agriculture for Green Planet Call for Participation
Overview
Population growth, climate change, water scarcity, salinity, drought, soil degradation, disease infestation as well as rural labor migration are the grand challenges to ensure a global food and nutrition security in the future. Future agriculture must be smart, climate resilient, attractive, time & resources efficient and intensive with a view to ensure food and nutrition security of the millions in a sustainable manner. The Smart Agro-Technology Innovation Youth Network (SAIYN) invites the youths (up to 28 years of age) with innovative ideas of smart agricultural solutions to meet the existing and future challenges of agriculture.
Prize
All ideas/concepts will be duly evaluated. The top 3 ideas will be awarded with USD 500 each and crest. The top 10 ideas will be appreciated with certificate.
How to Participate
1. Visit SAIYN Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/smartagrotechidea) to know more about SAIYN and idea competition.
2. Think of a thematic idea.
3. Discuss the idea with your mentor.
4. Explain your idea in brief within 3 pages according to the prescribed template.
5. Submit your proposal (both MS word and PDF version) by October 7, 2021 to this email address ([email protected])
6. Selected proposals will be notified by October 20, 2021.
7. Submit your complete proposal and poster by October 28, 2021 to the same email address mentioned above.
8. Top 10 ideas will be requested to present on November 5, 2021.

Contest Eligibility
• Youths up to 28 years of age from any university, college and school of Bangladesh can participate.
• All proposals must be based on the thematic areas (Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization, Precision Agriculture, Robotics in Agriculture, Artificial intelligence in Agriculture, Renewable energy and Controlled Environment Agriculture) that will modernize future agriculture in the process of building a green planet.
• Each team must consist of maximum four members.
• Submission must follow the provided guidelines.
• The evaluators’ decision will be final and the authority will reserve the right to reject or accept any idea.
Important Dates
• October 07, 2021 – Idea Submission
• October 20, 2021 – Pre-screening
• October 28, 2021 – Final Submission
• November 05, 2021- Grand Finale
