It is my pleasure to share my BUS400 internship report and internship experience at Unicom Education Consultant Services Ltd (ALOHA BANGLADESH). This agreement is made and entered into by and between Unicom Group (ALOHA Bangladesh) and the undersigned student at BRAC University. In March last year, all educational institutions in Bangladesh were closed due to health concerns.

However, online learning methods are still proving to be a major challenge for children in this post-pandemic era. ALOHA BANGLADESH is an independent educational institution for children that has introduced a unique mathematical method in Bangladesh.

This internship improved my critical thinking skills by allowing me to think outside the box, generate new ideas, be assertive and proactive, and establish myself as a useful employee who can handle any kind of assignment. Due to the intensity of the pandemic in our country, there were times when I spent days without work, as student dropouts were extremely high and the company faced financial losses. During the first month of my internship, I struggled with having the online office at home.

Another problem I faced was the immense work pressure during the last two months of my internship.

  • Limitations

In this post-pandemic era, parents are hesitant to allow their children to participate in offline education due to health concerns. Also, educational institutions that are not involved in traditional schooling, but are involved in any activity learning activity, have slightly more than traditional schools. The reason for this is that co-curriculum activities are not compulsory for all students.

Hence, in this post-pandemic era, parents choose not to enroll their children in any special educational institutions to learn skills. This creates difficulties for interdisciplinary educational institutions to exist in the market. Consequently, this research aims to provide guidance to other companies and organizations and provide a thorough understanding of how ALOHA BANGLADESH has coped with the post-pandemic era to remain competitive.

The main part of this report was written by checking statistics, figures and information from ALOHA BANGLADESH's finance and accounting department. However, it also depends on the company's willingness to share the data it has accumulated over the previous few years. However, the website of ALOHA BANGLADESH does not contain enough information compared to other organizations.

Despite these limitations, I have worked hard to make the results and objectives of this report successful.

    • Bibliography

ALOHA BANGLADESH continues to suffer more than any other educational institution in this post-pandemic era. A large number of students have dropped out, causing major problems in the company, which they are currently dealing with. Now I will briefly discuss some of the challenges faced by ALOHA BANGLADESH in the post-pandemic period.

Possible reduced demand for products or services: Parents in the 21st century are increasingly concerned about raising their children. ALOHA BANGLADESH was closed for eight months and didn't make a cent during the pandemic. Because co-curricular activities and acquisition of certain skills are not required in the same way as academic courses for students.

As a result, they are still running their company at a loss in this post-pandemic period. The recruitment procedure is costly and hiring qualified people in the company takes a lot of time. However, it was not enough to keep them on the market during this post-pandemic period.

During Covid 19, ALOHA BANGLADESH had to consider whether, in the event of a pandemic, they would be able to continue operating as a going concern in the near future. Lack of advanced IT team: The world has become more digitized in the post-pandemic. As a result, they have to train their teachers differently so that they can be professionals on this platform.

If they do not focus on this issue, ALOHA BANGLADESH may face an existential crisis. During the pandemic, ALOHA BANGLADESH was closed for eight months and did not make a penny. ALOHA BANGLADESH faced numerous problems after the pandemic, including possible decrease in demand for products or services, decrease in sales, possible lack of liquidity and working capital, lack of qualified employees, decrease in capital, etc.

UNESCO COVID-19 education response: how many students are at risk of not returning to school. Access to the internet, access to the world: students' experiences of online learning in Bangladesh during Covid-19.
