In order to create effective human resources, the first specialized Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, Bangladesh (BSMRMU) was established in 2013 after the father of the nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. To achieve sustainable development and progress of the university through mutual cooperation with other related universities/institutions. To continue to upgrade educational services and facilities responsive to the demands and demands of the nation.

Conduct various educational programs and research works for sustainable development of the maritime service and industrial sector of the country. Two courses may be repeated for improvement with the prior approval of the Head of Department on the recommendation of the course coordinator.
