SAMBUTAN

Publikasi Aru Selatan Dalam Angka 2014 merupakan sebuah

potret gambaran hasil pembangunan yang telah dilakukan di seluruh

Desa/Kelurahan di Kecamatan Aru Selatan selama tahun 2013.

Publikasi ini sangat bermanfaat untuk mengevaluasi hasil

pembangunan dan menjadi dasar perencanaan pembangunan,

terutama di wilayah Kecamatan Aru Selatan.

Kepada seluruh Instansi, Dinas maupun pihak swasta sebagai

sumber data sekaligus pemakai data diharapkan dapat meningkatkan

kerjasama yang lebih baik dengan BPS Kabupaten Kepulauan Aru demi

FOREWORD

Publication of Aru Selatan in Figures 2014 shows us the picture

of the result of development in all Village in Aru Selatan District during

the year of 2013. This publication will be useful to evaluate the result of

those development had been done, and to build a new development

plans needed, especially in Aru Selatan District .

Institution and Services, state or private, as sources and users of

data are hoped to be able to increase their cooperation with the BPS

Regency of Kepulauan Aru for an availability of more accurate data in

the next periods.

Data statistik dalam wilayah kecil (

Small Area Statistics

) sudah

menjadi kebutuhan mendasar bagi semua pihak, terutama Pemerintah

Daerah untuk perancangan kebijakan pada era otonomisasi ini.

Aru Selatan Dalam Angka 2014 adalah publikasi tahunan yang

memuat data-data Kecamatan Aru Selatan pada tahun 2013 yang

tersaji dalam wilayah kecil, yaitu menurut Desa. Data-data ini

bersumber dari data sekunder dinas/instansi terkait maupun data

primer BPS Kabupaten Kepulauan Aru.

Disadari bahwa walaupun disiapkan dengan baik namun

tentunya masih terdapat banyak kelemahan dan kesalahan, karenanya

kritik dan saran sangat diharapkan guna penyempurnaan di waktu yang

akan datang.

PREFACE

Small Area Statistics (SAS) has became a basic need for

everyone, especially Regional Government for policy planning in the era

of Autonomization.

Aru Selatan in Figures 2014 is an annual publication which

consists information about Aru Selatan District during the year of 2013,

presented in Small Area Statistics, by Village. This information was

gathered from secondary data from related institutions or primary data

from BPS-Statistics of Regency of Kepulauan Aru.

Awarely, even though it was well-prepared but certainly there

is still some mistakes and inadequacy on the presentation of this

publication. In doing so, critics and suggestions for improvement in the

future are truly welcomed.

Hopefully, this publication will do some benefit for all of us.

KEADAAN GEOGRAFI DAN IKLIM Geography Condition and Climate

Letak Geografis

Kecamatan Aru Selatan menurut astronomi terletak pada 6° sampai dengan 6°50' Lintang Selatan dan dari 133°30' sampai dengan 134°20' Bujur Timur.

Adapun batas-batas Kecamatan Aru Selatan adalah sebagai berikut :

Topografi

Secara topografi Kecamatan Aru Selatan berupa dataran rendah dan berawa-rawa yang memiliki luas ± 833,12 Km² yang terletak pada ketinggian 0 - 10 mdpl.

Tidak terdapat gunung, namun ada sungai yang mengalir secara terus-menerus sepanjang tahun yang terletak di desa Popjetur.

Geologi

Kecamatan Aru Selatan terdiri dari 1 pulau besar saja, yaitu Pulau Trangan.

Secara morfologi di sepanjang Pulau Trangan bertopografi karst terbentuk oleh batu gamping, napal, dan pasir dengan puncak tertinggi sekitar 10 mdpl.

Geographical Location

The Aru Selatan District based on astronomy was located between 6° to 6°50' South Latitudes and from 133°30' to 134°20' East Longitudes.

Geographically Aru Selatan District is bordered by :

Northern border : Aru Selatan Utara District

Southern border : Arafura Sea Eastern border : Aru Selatan Timur

District Western border : Arafura Sea

Topography

Based on its topography, Aru Selatan was a flat and swampy area of 833.12 Km² located between 0 – 10 meters above the sea level.

There was no mountains but there is river which flow continuously along one years at Popjetur village.

Geology

There is a big island in Aru Selatan District which called Trangan Island.

Based on morfology, along of Trangan Island is karst topographycal which formed by limestone, napal and sand with the height is about 10 meters above the sea level.

Menurut peta Geologi Indonesia [1965], pulau/kepulauan di Kecamatan Aru Selatan tersusun dari tanah dan batuan yang tercatat sebanyak 6 jenis tanah dan 6 jenis batuan, secara lengkap dapat dilihat pada Tabel 1.2.

Iklim

Iklim dipengaruhi oleh Laut Banda, Laut Arafura dan Samudera Indonesia juga dibayangi oleh Pulau Papua di Bagian Timur dan Benua Australia di Bagian Selatan, sehingga sewaktu-waktu terjadi perubahan.

a. Tipe Iklim

Berdasarkan klasifikasi Agroklimate menurut OLDEMAN, IRSAL dan MULADI [1981], Kecamatan Aru Selatan termasuk dalam Zona C2 dengan jumlah bulan basah 5 - 6 bulan dan bulan kering 2 - 3 bulan .

b. Musim

1. Pada keadaan musim teratur, Musim Timur berlangsung dari Bulan April sampai Oktober. Musim ini adalah Musim Kemarau.

Musim Barat berlangsung dari Bulan Oktober sampai Pebruari. Musim hujan pada Bulan Desember sampai Pebruari dan curah hujan terbesar terjadi pada Bulan Desember dan Pebruari.

2. Musim Pancaroba berlangsung di sepanjang bulan Maret/April dan Oktober/November.

3. Bulan April sampai Oktober, bertiup Angin Timur Tenggara. Angin kencang bertiup pada Bulan Januari dan Pebruari diikuti dengan hujan deras dan laut bergelora.

Based on Indonesian Geology Map [1965], Island/Archipelago in the Aru Selatan District is formed by 6 kinds of soil and 6 kinds of rock [see the Table 1.2].

Climate

The Climate was influenced by Banda Sea, Arafura Sea and Indonesian Ocean and also by Papua Island in the eastern part and Australian Continent in the southern part so that there is an uncertainty on seasonal transition period.

a. Type of Climate

Based on Agroclimate Classification by OLDEMAN, IRSAL and MULADI [1981], the Aru Selatan District was classified in Zone C2 with 5 - 6 wet months and 2 - 3 dry months.

b. Season

1. Regularly, East Season start from April to October. This season was a dry season. West season start from October to February.

Rainy season start from December to February, there was the period with heaviest rainfall.

2. Seasonal transitions fall in March/April and October/November.

3. April to October, there was south east wind blew. Hard wind blew in January and February followed by heavy rainfall and rough sea.

4. Bulan April sampai September bertiup Angin Timur, Tenggara dan Selatan sebanyak 91 persen dengan Angin Tenggara dominan 61 persen .

Sejarah Singkat

Kecamatan Aru Selatan, yang beribukota di Jerol, merupakan kecamatan yang ada sejak Kabupaten Kepulauan Aru memisahkan diri dari Kabupaten Maluku Tenggara pada tahun 2003. Pada saat itu Kabupaten Kepulauan Aru terdiri atas 3 (tiga) kecamatan, yaitu:

1. Kecamatan P.P. Aru

2. Kecamatan Aru Tengah

3. Kecamatan Aru Selatan

Pada tahun 2008 Kecamatan Aru Selatan dimekarkan menjadi 2 (dua) kecamatan yaitu, Kecamatan Aru Selatan dan Aru Selatan Timur. Kecamatan Aru Selatan kembali dimekarkan menjadi 2 (dua) kecamatan pada tahun 2013, yaitu:

1. Kecamatan Aru Selatan

2. Kecamatan Aru Selatan Utara

Pemerintahan Desa

Kecamatan Aru Selatan saat ini masih membawahi 15 desa. Status 15 desa tersebut ada di Daerah pedesaan.

Brief History

Aru Selatan District, capitalled in Jerol, is one of district since Kepulauan Aru Regency splitted from Maluku Tenggara Regency in 2003. At that time there were 3 districts in Kepulauan Aru Regency:

1. P.P Aru District 2. Aru Tengah District 3. Aru Selatan District

In 2008, Aru Selatan district was split into two district: Aru Selatan Distrcit itself and Aru Selatan Timur district. In 2013, Aru Selatan District was splitted again into two district:

1. Aru Selatan District 2. Aru Selatan Utara District

Village Government

Aru Selatan District is consisted by 15 villages. Status of them is in rural area.

Ulasan Singkat

Jumlah Penduduk Kecamatan Aru Selatan pada pertengahan tahun 2013 sebanyak 7.097 jiwa yang terdiri dari laki-laki sebanyak 3.548 jiwa dan perempuan sebanyak 3.569 jiwa.

Sedangkan Sex Ratio rata-rata per desa

untuk Kecamatan Aru Selatan adalah sebesar 99 pada tahun 2013. Hal ini berarti secara rata-rata perbandingan laki-laki dan perempuan di Kecamatan Aru Selatan adalah 99 : 100. Atau dapat pula dikatakan di Kecamatan Aru Selatan pada Tahun 2013 untuk setiap 100 orang perempuan terdapat 99 orang laki-laki (Tabel 3.4).

Kepadatan Penduduk rata-rata di Kecamatan Aru Selatan pada tahun 2013

adalah sebanyak 9 jiwa per Km2 (Tabel 3.2).

Persebaran Penduduk di Kecamatan Aru Selatan cukup beragam. Desa Kalar-Kalar adalah desa dengan jumlah penduduk terbanyak (1.058 jiwa) sedangkan Desa Gaimar adalah desa dengan penduduk paling sedikit di Kecamatan Aru Selatan (133 jiwa).

Summary

District Population of Aru Selatan on the middle year of 2013 is 7,097 people, with consisted 3,548 males and 3,569 females.

It comes to the result of calculation of Sex Ratio of District Population of Aru Selatan in 2013 as 99. It means that averagely the ratio of male to female in District of Aru Selatan is 99 to 100. Or that we can say that for every 100 female there is 99 male averagely. (Table 3.4)

The population density in District of Aru Selatan on the end of the year 2013 is 9 people per Km2 (Table 3.2)

Population Distribution in Aru Selatan District so various. Kalar-Kalar Village has the most population (1,058 people), and Gaimar Village has the least population (133 people). .

Pendidikan

Keadaan Pendidikan di Kecamatan Aru Selatan dapat dilihat dari Tabel 4.1.1 s.d. Tabel 4.1.6.

Terdapat 16 Sekolah Dasar yang tersebar di seluruh Desa di Kecamatan Aru Selatan. Sekolah Menengah Pertama hanya berjumlah 4 dan hanya berada di desa-desa tertentu, tetapi semua desa-desa rata-rata bisa menjangkau fasilitas SMP. Sedangkan Sekolah Menengah Atas hanya ada 1 di

Desa Jerol. (Tabel 4.1.2 s.d. Tabel 4.1.3)

Rasio Murid terhadap Guru di Kecamatan Aru Selatan adalah 15 murid untuk 1 guru SD; 8 murid untuk 1 guru SMP; dan 3 murid untuk 1 guru SMA.

Sedangkan rata-rata jumlah murid per kelas untuk SD 16 murid; untuk SMP 22

murid; dan untuk SMA 22 murid. (Tabel

4.1.6)

Kesehatan

Di Kecamatan Aru Selatan tidak terdapat Rumah Sakit, 5 Puskesmas, 2 Puskesmas

Pembantu, dan 2 Poskesdes (Tabel 4.2.1

dan Tabel 4.2.2).

Sedangkan untuk tenaga kesehatan

terdapat 29 perawat umum, 4 bidan (Tabel

4.2.3).

Education

Information about education in Aru Selatan District can be obtained from Table 4.1.1 to 4.1.6.

There are 16 Elementary Schools spread in all villages in Aru Selatan District. The number of Junior High Schools in Aru Selatan District is 4, located in some certain villages and almost all villages can reach to the nearest one easily. While there was 1 Senior High Schools in Aru Selatan District, at Jerol. (Table 4.1.2 to 4.1.3)

Pupils to teacher ratio in Aru Selatan District were 15 students for one Elementary School teacher, 8 students for one Junior High School teacher and 3 students for one Senior High School teacher.

While averagely there were 16 students for each Elementary School classes and 22 students for each Junior High School classes and 22 students for each Senior High School classes. (Table 4.1.6)

Health

There are no Hospital, 5 Public Health Centers, 2 Aiding Public Health Centers and 2 Village Health Posts. (Table 4.2.1 and Table 4.2.2)

As Health Personnels, there are 29 Nurses, 4 Midwives. (Table 4.2.3)

Keluarga Berencana

Keluarga Berencana adalah program di bidang kependudukan dan kesehatan dalam upaya mencapai masyarakat sehat sejahtera, adil dan makmur dengan Norma Keluarga Kecil Bahagia Sejahtera [NKKBS] melalui upaya perencanaan.

Menurut data pada Badan Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan KB Kabupaten Kepulauan Aru, alat kontrasepsi yang paling diminati oleh para akseptor KB di Kecamatan Aru Selatan adalah suntikan sebanyak 372 peserta (69,14%).

Informasi tentang program Keluarga Berencana (KB) di Kecamatan Aru Selatan

secara terperinci disajikan pada Tabel 4.2.8

sampai dengan Tabel 4.2.10.

Agama

Mayoritas penduduk Kecamatan Aru Selatan beragama Kristen Protestan, kemudian Islam dan Kristen Katholik.

Di Kecamatan Aru Selatan terdapat 3 Gereja Katolik, 16 Gereja Protestan, 4

Family Planning

Family Planning is a population and healthiness program in order to reach healthy and prospereous society in a justice with The Prospereous Small Family Norm (NKKBS).

By the data from Woman Enabless and family Planning Regional Board of Kepulauan Aru, injection was the most used mix contraception by family planning acceptor in Aru Selatan District with 372 acceptor (69.14%).

Family Planning Program Information in Aru Selatan District can be seen on Table 4.2.8 until Table 4.2.10.

Religion

The majority of people religion in Aru Selatan District are Protestants, then followed by Islam and Catholic.

There were 3 Catholics Churches, 16Protestants Churches, 4 Mosques in Aru Selatan District. (Table4.3.1)
