UD. Sumber Tani Pujon Malang is one of fertilizer company that produces fertilizer Branded Pupuk Kaltim and Merk Pupuk Petro Kimia Gersik that marketing in Pujon Malang. This research only analyzed for the marketing in Pujon area. Especially Pupuk Kaltim Urea Daun Buah. To needs market demand Pupuk Kaltim Urea Daun Buah, UD. Sumber Tani has Two storehouse to handle the product distribution.the product distribution of Pupuk Kaltim Urea Daun Buah is operated two storehouse they are pujon and Kedung Rejo storehouse it has same purpose distribution. Both of them doing each distribution without good coordination. It caused the distribution cost of product is big.
One of method could used to reduces distribution cost of product was use transportation method because it was used this method could reduces and made good distribution of allocation. The analyzed begun floating data of demand in january until march 2010 to known good prediction method. The prediction of product with smallest MAD was demand data in april until june 2010 will be analyzed using transportation method were NWCR method and MODI used software minitab and manual calculation that convected to software window.
Before analyzed used transportation method, the distribution cost spend of company was Rp. 40.620.000,- and after was analyzed that the cost was needed to product distribution Pupuk Kaltim Urea Daun Buah was Rp. 37.140.000,- concequently got reduced distribution cost was Rp. 3.480.000,- or the reduced was 8,56% from analyzed cost before.
UD. Sumber Tani Pujon Malang merupakan salah satu perusahaan pupuk yang memproduksi Merk Pupuk Kaltim dan Merk Pupuk Petro Kimia Gersik untuk daerah pemasaran di Pujon Malang. Penelitian ini hanya menganalisa wilayah pemasaran Pujon khususnya Pupuk Kaltim Urea Daun Buah. Dalam memenuhi permintaan pasar akan Pupuk Kaltim Urea Daun Buah, UD. Sumber Tani memiliki dua gudang yang menangani distribusi produk. Distribusi Pupuk Kaltim Urea Daun Buah yang di jalankan melalui dua gudang yaitu gudang Pujon dan gudang Kedung Rejo yang mempunyai daerah tujuan distribusi yang sama. Kedua gudang melakukan proses distribusi sendiri-sendiri tanpa koodinasi yang baik. Hal ini mengakibatkan biaya distribusi produk yang harus di keluarkan perusahaan menjadi sangat besar.
Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk menghemat biaya distribusi produk adalah dengan metode transportasi , karena dengan menggunakan metode ini dapat menghemat biaya dengan membuat suatu alokasi distribusi yang tepat. Analisa di awali dengan dengan plotting data permintaan bulan Januari - Maret 2010 untuk mengetahui metode peramalan yang sesuai. Hasil
