ABSTRACT

This research discusses the student experience and perception to the internship program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The purpose of the research is to examine the experience and perception of students about internship program. Types of this research is phenomenological hermeneutic. The research subjects is student of the seventh semester. Collecting data in this research using semi structure in depth interview. Data validity is addrest by member checking. The results of this research demonstrate their experience and perception of students about internship programs; (1) Internship programs as job training and practice professionalism, (2) Activity of internship 1 is observation about the school environment, (3) The implementation an internship program classified into three times and internship 1 for two weeks.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengalaman dan persepsi siswa tentang program magang di Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengalaman dan pemahaman siswa tentang program magang. Tipe yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan hermeneutik. Subjek dari penelitan ini yaitu mahasiswa semester tujuh. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara secara mendalam. Keabsahan data berupa pengecekan data.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) program magang sebagai pelatihan kerja dan pelatihan keprofesionalan, (2) kegiatan dari magang 1 yaitu observasi yang mencakup lingkungan sekolah, (3) pelaksanaan program magang di bedakan antara waktu dan jenisnya.
