ABSTRACT

This study uses both intrinsic and extrinsic methods to assess how neurotic anxiety caused depression on the main character in ‘Euphoria’ movie script . Characterization, story, and setting comprise the intrinsic technique adopted. Despite using the idea of psychology literature, the extrinsic method takes a qualitative approach to obtaining data. Sam Levinson movie script is the subject of this study. The study's findings may be summarized as follows: the elaboration between neurotic anciety and characterization, the elaboration between neurotic anxiety and plot, and the elaboration between neurotic anxiety and setting. This movie script is about Rue bennet who is being an addict since her father was passed away, how she try to fix what she have done, how she try to get back with the person she loved, and how to get her mother trust back.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode intrinsik dan ekstrinsik untuk menilai bagaimana kecemasan neurotik menyebabkan depresi pada karakter utama dalam naskah film 'Euphoria'. Penokohan, cerita, dan latar terdiri dari teknik intrinsik yang diadopsi. Meskipun menggunakan gagasan literatur psikologi, metode ekstrinsik mengambil pendekatan kualitatif untuk memperoleh data.

Naskah film Sam Levinson menjadi subjek penelitian ini. Temuan penelitian dapat diringkas sebagai berikut: elaborasi antara kecemasan neurotik dan karakterisasi, elaborasi antara kecemasan neurotik dan plot, dan elaborasi antara kecemasan neurotik dan setting. Naskah film ini tentang Rue bennet yang menjadi pecandu sejak ayahnya meninggal, bagaimana dia mencoba memperbaiki apa yang telah dia lakukan, bagaimana dia mencoba untuk kembali dengan orang yang dicintainya, dan bagaimana mendapatkan kembali kepercayaan ibunya.
