Dudek has lost his place to Legia Warsaw`s stopper Lukasz Fabianski and the coach said his lack of practice with the national team had piled up against him. Dudek is a very good goal keeper; we can confirm that by reviewing his performance in last year´s Champions League Final when his penalty stops helped Liverpool beat AC Milan. The bad thing is he has played very few games with Poland and that has acted in favor of those who have been playing at club level.
Striker Tomasz Frankowski from the Wolverhampton Wanderers the team’s top scorer in the qualifying marches, the center half and former captain Tomasz Klos were also left out. Instead, Janas selected Wisla Krakow striker Pawel Brozek and Krakow fullback Dariusz Dudka who have only a handful of friendly caps between them.
