Ibu yang memiliki anak dengan diagnosa Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) akan merasa sedih, marah, terbebani dan terkadang sering sekali tidak mampu menerima dirinya. Namun ada beberapa yang mampu menghadapinya dan tetap merasa berharga atas dirinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran penerimaan diri ibu yang memiliki anak autisme. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif, menggunakan sampling jenuh dengan sampel 35 orang. Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini disusun berdasarkan teori penerimaan diri dari Sheerer (1963) dengan 80 item valid, dengan nilai reliabilitas 0,985. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lebih banyak ibu yang memiliki penerimaan diri positif yaitu 40%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 34% dalam kategori sedang, dan 25,8% dalam kategori negatif. Tidak terdapat hubungan antara penerimaan diri ibu dengan usia, pekerjaan, dan tingkat pendidikan.

A mother with child is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) would feel sad, angry, burdened and oftentimes can’t accept herself. Although there are some people who are capable on facing it and still feel worth of herself. The purpose of this research is to find out the illustration of mother’s self-acceptance whose child is having autism. The design of this research is a quantitative descriptive research, using saturated sampling on 35 people as the sample. The measurement in this research is constructed by the Self-Acceptance Theory by Shearer (1963) with 80 valid items. With reliability value of 0.98. The result of this research show that more mother which has positive self-acceptance with 40 %, while rest of them with 34 % in medium category, and 25.8 % in negative category. There is no relation between mother’s self-acceptance with age, occupation and education level.
