This full version of this pack was created to support independent activities for the literacy block. It contains 11 differentiated activities that are slightly different than my other centers. Instead of creating one task with several different levels of difficulty cards, the activities are differentiated by either the complexity of the recording sheet and task or by the actual readability of the task. I made this change to help teachers create meaningful, differentiated centers, while requiring less time to prepare and create! Another new feature I added to this pack is a printable resource poster for EACH center! The centers include:

Sliding Through Irregular Plurals- The students will read cards with sentences. A blank with a noun in parenthesis is included in each sentence. Students will find the irregular plural of the noun to complete the sentence. Two different recording sheets are included for differentiation. The first recording sheet requires students to make the irregular noun plural. For a more difficult task, copy the first recording sheet and second recording sheet back to back. The second recording sheet requires students to write the additional irregular plural nouns and use them in a sentence.

Jingling with Nouns and Verbs- The student will sort the words on the cards into nouns or verbs. Two different recording sheets are included for differentiation. The first recording sheet requires students to write and sort the nouns and verbs. For a more difficult task, copy the first recording sheet and second recording sheet back to back. The second recording sheet requires students to use three nouns and three verbs in a sentence.

A Workshop Full of Verbs-The student will read the sentences on the card and identify the verb and the verb tense. Two different recording sheets are included for differentiation. The first recording sheet requires students to determine the verb tense. For a more difficult task, use the second recording sheet. The second recording sheet requires students to determine the verb and write it in all three tenses.

Irregular Penguin Verbs- The students will read cards with sentences. A blank with a verb in parenthesis is included in each sentence. Students will find the irregular past tense of the verb to complete the sentence. Two different recording sheets are included for

Irregular Verb Match Up- Students match cards with a verb and its irregular past tense. Two different recording sheets are included for

differentiation. The first recording sheet requires students to sort and record the verb matches. For a more difficult task, copy the first recording sheet and second recording sheet back to back. The second recording sheet requires students to write a sentence using a verb in the past tense and then another sentence with the verb in the present tense.

Baking Up Some Subject Verb Agreement- The students will read cards with sentences. A blank with two verbs in parenthesises in is included in each sentence. Students will choose the correct verb to make the sentence make sense. Two different recording sheets are included for differentiation. The first recording sheet requires students to identify and write the verb that makes sense in the sentence. For a more difficult task, copy the first recording sheet and second recording sheet back to back. The second recording sheet requires students to identify the verb in each sentence, and then record it in present, past, and future tense.

Mailing Out Main Idea- Students read cards with passages on them and determine the main idea. Two different recording sheets are included for differentiation. The first recording sheet requires students to choose the main idea from a multiple choice bank. The second recording sheet requires students to write in the main idea.

Be a Literary Reading Detective- Students read a literary passage and then can either answer questions about the passage, or can use question stem cards to create and answer their own questions about the passage. There are three levels of the passage (Beginning 2nd , Mid 2nd,, End 2nd) and two

different versions of the recording sheet.

Be an Informational Reading Detective- Students read an informational passage and then can either answer questions about the passage, or can use question stem cards to create and answer their own questions about the passage. There are three levels of the passage (Beginning 2nd , Mid 2nd,, End
