How to install WordPress
To install Balita theme you must have a working version of WordPress already installed. For information regarding the installation of the WordPress platform, please see the WordPress Codex http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress
How to install WordPress Themes
When you are ready to install a theme, you must first upload the theme files and then activate the theme itself. The theme files can be uploaded in two ways:
Note: You must be using WordPress 3.0 or above. After you download the file from our server, don’t forget to extract it first. The new file whose name is [themename].zip is the theme files that should be uploaded.
• Upload via /wp-admin/: Log in to your dashbord. Navigate to Appearance > Themes > Install Themes tab. Click on the upload menu, then click the “Install Now” button. Next, click on “Manage Themes” tab then activate your theme by click on the “Activate” link. If the upload was succesful, there will be a new submenu named [ThemeName] Options under “Appearance”.
• Manual upload via /wp-content/themes/: Extract the theme files that you have downloaded and then copy the theme folder to your WordPress installation folder /wp-content/themes/.
How To Update Your WordPress Themes
If you are currently using another WordPress theme, make sure you always backup your theme files first before update your theme to the Balita!
Preparation
1. Backup the theme you’re trying to update to another location – this is a very important process so please don’t forget to do it.
GetShopped WPEC Plugin
WordPress E-Commerce (WPEC) is a free WordPress Shopping Cart Plugin that lets customers buy your products, services and digital downloads online. To date (2011), the plugin has been downloaded over 1.3 Million times.
How to install & activate WPEC
The automated Plugin Installer available within the WordPress Dashboard is the easiest way to install WP e-Commerce. Access this from Plugins > Add.
Once the Plugin files have been transferred to the Plugins directory (/wp-content/ plugins/ on your web server open the WordPress Dashboard and navigate to the following menu to activate WPEC:
1. Expand Plugins through the WordPress menu and click on Installed
2. Ensure the Plugin filter view is set to All
3. From the list of WordPress Plugins locate “WP Shopping Cart” and click Activate

How to add products, categories, tags, and WPEC widgets
If your using your store to sell physical products chances are you will need to keep a track of the stock levels. This ensures that your not selling stock you don’t have.

The WPEC widgets are divided into two parts: Dashboard Widgets and

First step, choose Balita menu on your dashboard sidebar to customize theme
general features. As you can see, we also have new control panel layout which
specially designed for your ease.

General Settings
Go to Balita > General Settings. In general setting menu, you could upload icon logo and favicon, customize CSS, add tracking code, and footer text.
• Custom Logo and Custom FaviconTo insert logo and favicon image, click
upload button then choose desired image. Favicon image should be in 16x16pixel
• Custom CSSTo customize your themes design, copy your CSS into custom CSS
column.
• Tracking CodeIn tracking code column, you could insert tracking code from
google analytics or from another provider.
• Footer TextType footer text in the available column. Hint: write something
related to copyright disclaimer or anything you prefer.
Home Page
Go to Balita>Home Page.In this menu, you are free to do any display setting for the home page such as Text Promo Top for display promo on top every page., Text Promo Main appearing promo on the front page, and Image Campaign for displayed on home page.
Feeds And Media
Go to Balita>Feeds and Media to display feeds and social media accounts on your online store.
RSS Feed : Type your RSS url link
Twitter : Type your Twitter username (ex. tokokoo)
Facebook : Type your Facebook url link

Flickr : Type your Flickr link
SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
Use SEO to make your online store indexed by the search engines.
• Disable Tokokoo SEODefault setting for Tokokoo SEO is disable. Checklist to
enable Tokokoo SEO.
• Homepage Meta KeywordEnter keywords or phrases separated by commas (ex.
shoes, cars, dogs, world domination).
• Homepage Meta DescriptionEnter the meta description you want to have
appear on the homepage (ex. This is my shop where I sell things like shoes, cars,
dogs and I am trying to achieve world domination)
• Singular Meta DescriptionEnter the meta description you want to have
appear on the posts and pages (ex. This is my shop where I sell things like shoes,
cars, dogs and I am trying to achieve world domination).
• Title SeparatorEnter a character or HTML entity. Default is "|"
• Add a "nofollow" meta tag for all posts?By default, a "nofollow" meta tag is

Go to Balita>Apps Facebook. This feature enables you to market your products
through one of the biggest social networking in the world. Reach the highest sales

Customize Main Menu
If you using version 3.0 of WordPress or higher, you can setup custom menus to
You can add menu name according to your needs (e.g. “Header Menu”) and is
located at the very top of the theme.
Should you be running earlier versions of WordPress, the menu degrades gracefully
and automatically creates your navigation for you - custom menus are replaced with
a list of pages. In this case, you will have options to alter the display of these menus
from the theme options.
Setting up custom menusTo setup your custom menus, navigate to Appearance > Menus. Give your menu a name and build it up using the available widgets. You can
add a variety of items including pages, categories, custom links.
Once you have built and saved your menu, simply select the theme location using the
widget on the left. Under “Header Menu”, select your custom menu from the dropdown list to use it as the site’s main navigation.
To extend the available Menu, click the screen options tab at the very top
Manage Products
Input all your product data in WordPress e-commerce plugin. You could go to Product > add new to input new product. You can input product tags, categories, variations, coupons. See your product list you’ve been input by clicking product.
Featured Product
You can choose featured product for homepage, you can easily manage by clicking
Slider
Go to Slider>Add new to create new slider. You could display product image, page,
blog post, promo post (such as ads, discount, coupon), review, etc on special spots
and link image to detail page. Insert page url on slider link. Klik set slider picture to
upload your slider featured image (image size must be 988 x 350 pixel )

Localization/Language
You can change the language using the application poedit (please download here:

1.After you download and install, please run the application.
2.File to change language in the folder wp-content/themes/Balitapremium/
languages/ en_EN.po" (default in English). *.po are file that would be changed.
3.Copy files and rename the appropriate language of your country (eg "id_ID.po"
to Indonesia).
4.Call the file on the poedit application, then please save it. There will be a new
file extension *. mo
5.Edit wp-config.php in your search for "define ('WPLANG', 'your_country');",
replace" your_country "into your file (eg" id_ID ").
6.Save
