b. A/C taxing by it own power into parking gate: Wing-walkers are positioned at appropriate position (such as behind red safety line) for delivering proper Hand Signal to marshaller.

: To ensure that towing path is cleared of any obstacles including GSE, ULD, other aircraft and ground fixture.

5. Head-set operator is position on left side of nose landing gear and walk along with aircraft during towing to ensure that towing speed is less than 5 km/hour (3 miles/hours).

6. Security agent is guarding aircraft and preventing unauthorized personnel entering aircraft. Challenge and verify each individual identity as well as personal belongings if any prohibited items carried onboard aircraft.

7. Aircraft wheel chocked properly.

a. When parking gate has degree of incline, please refer to Remarks for chocking procedure. b. GOM 6.2.4.6

It is required that at lease 4 chocks on the main gears (2 on the each LH & RH main gears) but 2 chocks on the nose gear is optional.

8. Safety cones (anti-collision cones) installed correctly (at least 0.5-1.0 meter away from designated points).

(Total 14 safety cones need to position to prevent B744 a/c from

damage) After the safety cones were in position, it is not allowed to move the safety cones except authorization.

9. GSE (except Fuel Trucks) must not be positioned within a 4 meters radius of A/C fuel venting areas during fueling and de-fueling.

10. Nose tethering is well installed. Not Applicable ( go to item 11) 11.. Tail Support Stanchion (tail stand) operation:

a. Tail Stanchion strut must be in the fully retracted position when towing, prior to approaching to or leaving from its tail ball fitting position.

b. The route of approaching from red safety zone line to its tail ball fitting position and V.V. (Vice Versa) should keep at a right angle (90) to the aircraft center line.

c. Stanchion head stock final alignment (25cm) with tail ball fitting and head stock jaw opening and closing shall be guided to ensure a positive connection.

d. Increase hydraulic load on the stanchion up to e.g. 25,000lb or 1,500PSI as per User Manual.

12. Maintenance Representative (or GHA) perform 360 degree visual inspection on exterior fuselage for any sign of damage and report any irregularity to concerned units.

13. Operation of mobile Ground Support Equipment (GSE) on ramp:

a. GSE (Loader, Tail Stand, Stair etc.) approaching or leaving an aircraft must not exceed walking speed or 5km/per hour.

b. It is mandatory to make a full STOP as a brake check at least 5 meters away from aircraft before

reaching the aircraft side.

14.. When driver’s vision is obstructed or restricted (such as positioning equipment to or backing away from an aircraft), a guide person should be used.

15. To prevent aircraft form being hit due to gusty wind or sink after fuelling and loading, 4-6 inches safety clearance between GSE and doorsill should be maintained.

16. Wheel chocks installed on GSE after parking brake set.

(It is recommended to install Steering by-pass pin after aircraft arrival

and on chock.)

17 It is recommended using the stepladder for lower deck compartment doors opening. If use other loading equipment (e.g. high loader or conveyor belt), the guard-railing of loading equipment must be retracted firmly at the lowest position to prevent collision with cargo door during open operation.

18. SCD/FWD/AFT “Door Seal” (painted in RED) are intact without any cut or damage.

If you found any damage , please contact your MM/GHA and report to previous stn copy to MOC/LD/FQ )

C. A/C Loading and Unloading Check

19. The following loading sequence must be observed to prevent B744F aircraft tail tipping.

a. To load the forward hold first on the lower deck. b. To load forward 8 positions on the main deck. c. To load the rest main deck positions and the rear

hold on the lower deck.

Note: Unloading is in reverse sequence.

20. Special attention for NCD (nose cargo door) unloading: ULD in the rear part of main deck shall be offloaded first from SCD or moved forward to prevent A/C from tail tipping.

a. Pallet is properly tagged (included ULD contained Dangerous Goods shipment).

b. Net is well tightened on each pallet.,

c. HEA/BIG shipments are well secured by additional tie-down straps.

serviceable, at the correct positionand without damage or missing.

d. Cargo compartments (floor, wall, and ceiling) are in good condition without any damage.

Class 6;7;9 and Class 3 PG 3 without subsidiary risk can be loaded in inaccessible position. ( GOM6.7.1.7)

27. Rainy day operation check: a. Keep 1L door closed in rainy day.

b. Place wadding paper at 1L door and around E/E compartment area.

c. Check all main deck pallets, particularly A1/A2/B/ CL/ CR /DL/DR pallets before loading into aircraft and remove or absorb residue rainwater on top of the pallet or in folds of the wrapped plastic sheet.

31. Ensure that the Steering by-pass pin is correctly installed prior to connecting the tow-bar to the aircraft and before push-back commences (MM or GHA).

32. Chocks should not be removed from the main-gear until the tractor and tow-bar are fully secured to the

nose-gear and parking brake set on the tractor. 32. Wing-walkers are positioned under each wingtip to

signal that towing path is cleared of any obstacles including other aircraft and ground fixture (MM or GHA).

33. At the end of push-back sequence and before the tow-bar is disconnected, the flight deck should be instructed to set the aircraft brakes and hold position for tow-bar disconnection. Ensure that the Steering by-pass pin is removed after the tow-bar has been disconnected

(MM or GHA).

34. Before the aircraft commences taxing under its own power, ground staff shall give the final clearance signal, display the by-pass pin to the flight deck and receive acknowledgement (MM or GHA).
