Grade Students’ Visit Report Writing Skill and
Critical Thinking Skill
This study was conducted to know the effect of applying writing process approach
on students’ skill in writing visit report and critical thinking. The subject of this study were the fifth grade of SDN Bangkir the District of Cimanggung. The research method was quasi-expeiment with one experimental class and one control class. As dependent variable were students’ visit report writing skill and critical thinking skill, while the independent variable was writing process approach. Data used were pretest, posttest and N Gain. The average N Gain score of experimental class was 0,646 and the control class was 0,204. The average of N Gain experimental class was 0,432 and control class was 0,214. N Gain t test score for visit report writing was 15,904 and critical thinking was 5,931. The researcher determined 0,05 as signicance level, df 54 and found that tcr itic was 2,390. The greater t test score of N Gain t test of experimental class comparing to control class indicated that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. The result showed that there were significant influences of applying writing process approach to students’ visit
