3. Masjid, melambangkan ketaqwaan masyarakat Kerinci terhadap Tuhan
Yang Maha Esa
4. Jenjang Tingkat Lima, menunjukkan jiwa Pancasila
5. Gong, menunjukkan persatuan dan kesatuan serta ketinggian seni
budaya
6. Keris, melambangkan kepahlawanan rakyat Kerinci dan keadilan
penguasanya
7. Padi :
a) Sepuluh butir sebelah kiri menunjukkan tanggal 10
b) Sebelas butir sebelah kanan menunjukkan bulan sebelas atau

8. Daun teh :
a) Lima helai sebelah kiri
b) Delapan helai sebelah kanan keduanya menunjukkan angka 58.
Dari kedua hasil pertanian tersebut (padi dan teh) tercermin waktu
kelahiran Kabupaten Kerinci, yaitu tanggal 10 Nopember 1958.
9. Empat buah kunci, melambangkan penguasa adat di Kerinci yang disebut
Orang Empat Jenis, yaitu Depati Nenek Mamak, Orang Tua Cerdik Pandai,
Alim Ulama dan Hulu Balang.

Kami panjatkan Puji Syukur Kehadirat Tuhan Yang Maha Esa atas terbitnya
buku Kerinci Dalam Angka Tahun 2012 yang diterbitkan oleh Badan Pusat
Statistik Kabupaten Kerinci.
Data dan informasi yang akurat sangatlah diperlukan sebagai dasar dalam
perencanaan pembangunan, penyusunan kebijakan, pelaksanaan sampai
evaluasi hasil pembangunan. Oleh karena itu, buku ini mempunyai arti yang
sangat penting.
Buku ini menggambarkan secara global situasi dan kondisi Ekonomi, Sosial
Budaya, Demografi serta aspek dan sisi lainnya dari masyarakat di Kabupaten
Kerinci. Dalam buku ini juga disajikan beberapa data perkembangan dalam
tahun - tahun terakhir.
Kami berharap buku Kerinci Dalam Angka 2012 ini dapat dimanfaatkan
dengan sebaik-baiknya oleh semua pihak, serta dapat mendukung berbagai
unsur penting masyarakat dalam rangka pengambilan keputusan.

Assalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb.
Firstly, we extend thankfulness and praise to God The Highest for publication
of “Kerinci in Figure” for The Year 2012. BPS – Statistics of Kerinci Regency is
happy to present this book.
In the development era, timely and accurate data is highly demanded. Since
data and information are needed for development planning purposes. This
book presents the situation and condition of socio-economic, population and
cultural aspects in the Kerinci Regency. Therefore, this publication also reflects
the development stage achieved by Kerinci Regency from year to year.
We do hope that this publication of Kerinci in Figure 2012 will be able to meet
the data consumer’s need and also to support many key decision makers,
particularly the important component of society who wish to make profound
decision.

Publikasi “KERINCI DALAM ANGKA TAHUN 2013” ini merupakan kelanjutan
dari Pulikasi sebelumnya yang diterbitkan oleh Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS)
Kabupaten Kerinci.
Dalam publikasi ini dihimpun data dan laporan dari berbagai Dinas/Instansi
jawatan dalam Kabupaten Kerinci yang dimaksudkan untuk memberikan
gambaran potensi daerah Kabupaten Kerinci pada umumnya dan penyebaran
hasil pembangunan pada khusunya.
Meskipun publikasi ini telah dipersiapkan dengan baik, namun kami menyadari
masih adanya kekurangan-kekurangan, untuk itu kami mohon kritik dan saran
untuk penyempurnaan penerbitan di masa yang akan datang.

The ”KERINCI IN FIGURES 2013” which is a continuation of Previous
Publication of BPS-Statistics of Kerinci Regency.
This Publication present collection date from Institutions in Kerinci Regency to
give description about potency of Kerinci Regency and especially result of
development.
Thought this publication has a good prepare, but we realize there is still lacking
in its so comments and suggestions to improve the contens in the next are
always welcome.
