ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: struktur cerita dan nilai
moral yang ada pada novel Kakarén Révolusi untuk bahan ajar membaca di kelas XI
SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik, Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai
berikut: pertama struktur cerita; tema yang terkandung dalam novel yaitu tema
berbagai masalah yang dialami bangsa republik; alur yang digunakan pada novel ini adalah mobok tengah; terdapat 59 tokoh pada novel ini, latar tempat yang terdapat dalam novel ini adalah latar tempat general dan latar tempat parsial, latar waktu yang menunjukkan waktu absolut dan waktu parsial, dan latar sosial yang menunjukkan latar sosial kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia, hususnya daerah Sunda yang berada di
perkampungan; poin of view atau sudut pandang yang digunakan pengarang adalah
metode orang ketiga terbatas; gaya dan tone, gaya bahasa yang digunakan pengarang
mudah dipahami, tone atau nada cerita pada novel ini tergambar oleh kritik-kritik pengarang yang diwakili oléh tokoh Erom. Kedua nilai moral: dari hasil analisis struktural terdapat nilai-nilai moral antaralain, moral manusia terhadap tuhan, moral manusia terhadap pribadi, moral manusia terhadap manusia lainnya, moral manusia terhadap alam, moral manusia dalam mengejar kepuasan lahiriah dan batiniah; dan ketiga berdasarkan kriteria bahan ajar, novel Kakarén Révolusi bisa dijadikan bahan pembelajaran membaca di kelas XI SMA. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memperkaya khazanah sastra khususnya strukturalisme, serta dapat dijadikan bahan pembelajaran membaca novel di kelas XI SMA. Rekomendasi ditujukan kepada pihak-pihak yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini yaitu untuk: peneliti lainnya, guru, dan masyarakat.

ABSTRACT
This research has purposed to describe: The Structure of The Story and Moral Value on the novel Kakarén Révolusi for Reading Teaching Material at Grade XI Senior High School. This research used Analitical Deskriptif Method. The tehnique which used to collecting data is library research. The result of this research are: Firstly, The structure of the story; the theme on this Novel is the problem experienced by Republic Nation; the plot which used on the novel is Mobok Tengah; ho has 59 characteristich on the novel, the setting of place on the Novel are General and Partial. The Setting of time are showed Partial and Absolute, and the setting of the social is showed Indonesian life, especiality sundanese at the village; the point of view in this novel is the limited third person method. Language style in this novel is
easy to understand, tone’s on the novel is discribed by author on the charcter Erom.
Secondly, moral value; from the structural analysis result it has moral value, are; the human moral with God, the human moral with itself, the human moral with other people, the human moral with nature, the human moral to get physical and spiritual satisfaction; and thirdly. Based on teaching reading criteria, the Novel Kakarén Révolusi can be used for teaching reading material at Grade XI Senior High School. The result of this research can enrich in literature especialy in structuralism, and can be used for teaching reading material at Grade XI Senior High School. Recomended for the parties realiting on this reasearch are: other researcher, teacher and community.
