(d) Suggestion Explanation / Reason

Use 2 convex lenses The lenses are objective lens and eyepiece Short Focal length of

both lenses and fo < fe To get a more magnified image

Object, u is placed: f< u < 2f

To get a real and magnified image.

Microscope equip with mirror or light bulb

To illuminate the object

In Diagram10.1, the switches are arrange in series while in Diagram10.2, the switches are arrange in parallel.

In Diagram10.1, to light up the bulb, both switches A and B are closed while in Diagram10.2, to light up the bulb, both switches A and B are closed or either one is open

1

1

In Diagram 10.1, the bulb only lights up in if both of the switches A and B are closed, hence there is only ONE chance for current to flow to give only ONE output of the logic circuit ‘1’.

In Diagram 10.2, the bulb lights up if both switches A and B are closed or either one is closed, hence there are THREE chances for current to flow to give THREE output of the logic circuit ‘1’.

Diagram 10.1 - AND gate ; Diagram 10.2- OR gate 1 (c) When burglar steps on the carpet, P is closed.

The potential difference across the resistor is high, Hence input to OR gate is high.

Output of OR gate is also high.

Hence the buzzer will ring/ produce sound.

Correctly filled 1 0 1 1

Over filled 0 0 1 0 bottle with juice.// The penetrating power of alpha is too low that cannot penetrate an empty bottle while that of gamma is too high that easily penetrate a filled bottle

Long - years Does not rapidly decay NOT gate at Y

(i.e.after AND gate)

The logic state of output will be low (i.e. 0) when the bottle is correctly filled.

(b) 1. When the air is mix with the fuel in the combustion chamber, it produce exhaust gas at high

temperature.

Apabila udara bercampur dengan bahan api di ruang pembakaran, terhasil gas ekzos pada tekanan tinggi.

2. Gas is pushes out with a very high velocity through the nozzle.

Gas dikeluarkan dengan halaju yang sangat tinggi melalui nozel ke belakang

3. It produces a big momentum backward. Wujud momentum gas yang besar ke belakang

4. Based on the Principle of conservation of

momentum, when there is a momentum backward, the same magnitude of momentum is produces forward to push the plane.

Berdasarkan Prinsip keabadian Momentum, apabila wujud satu momentum ke belakang, maka akan terhasil momentum ke hadapan dengan nilai yang sama untuk menggerakkan kapal terbang ke hadapan.

Aspek ExplanationPenerangan

Diameter of the nozzle:

Small The gas moves out with high velocity Size of propeller:

Big

Suck more air into the combustion chamber Type of fuel:

Kerosine/Paraffin

Mix with air in the combustion chamber Size of combustion

chamber: Big

More fuel can be burnt to produce bigger momentum Choosen design of jet

engine: L

Because it has small diameter of nozzle, big size of propeller, suitable type of fuel which is
