The Implementation of Microteaching Program.

One of the efforts to improve the quality of education is by increasing the quality of prospective educators. Improving the quality of prospective educators can be an increase in knowledge, standard of living, and so on. Regarding improving the quality of prospective educators, it is specifically focused on improving their teaching skills/abilities. As a form of faculty responsibility to produce prospective and professional educators, the faculty provides a program called Field Learning Practices (PPL) or microteaching is a program provided by Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training. The program was for coaching and training prospective educators to be fostered and trained in teaching and learning. So, they are ready to enter the real world of education.

This research was conducted at microteaching program bureau in Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Antasari State Islamic University Banjarmasin, Jl. A. Yani Km 4. District of East Banjarmasin. The main problems in this research were: 1) How is the implementation of microteaching program in Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training 2) What difficulties of the implementation microteaching program. The purpose of this research was to find out the implementation of microteaching programs in the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training and to find out what are the difficulties in implementing microteaching programs. In this study, the researchers used qualitative, descriptive method. The instruments of data collection in this study are interview and documentation.

The results of this study stated that the implementation of microteaching program in Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training went well. As for what difficulties they face when implementing microteaching programs, namely; lack of practice rooms, lack of supervisors, lack of practice equipments, and lack of maximum when practicing guidance.

Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan adalah dengan meningkatkan kualitas calon pendidik. Meningkatkan kualitas calon pendidik dapat menjadi peningkatan pengetahuan, standar hidup, dan sebagainya. Mengenai peningkatan kualitas calon pendidik, secara khusus difokuskan pada peningkatan kemampuan/kemampuan mengajar mereka. Sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab fakultas untuk menghasilkan calon pendidik dan profesional, fakultas menyediakan program yang disebut Praktek Pembelajaran Lapangan (PPL) atau microteaching merupakan program yang disediakan oleh Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Pelatihan Guru. Program tersebut untuk pembinaan dan pelatihan calon pendidik untuk dibina dan dilatih dalam belajar mengajar. Sehingga, mereka siap memasuki dunia pendidikan yang sesungguhnya.

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di biro microteaching Program di Universitas Islam Negeri Antasari Banjarmasin, Jl. A. Yani Km 4. Kecamatan banjarmasin timur. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimana implementasi program microteaching di Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan 2) apa saja kesulitan implementasi program microteaching. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi program microteaching di Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan dan menemukan apa saja kesulitan implementasi program microteaching. Di dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode qualitative, jenis deskriptif. Peneliti mengumpulkan data menggunakan analisis wawancara dan dokumentasi.

Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa implementasi program microteaching di Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan berjalan dengan baik. Sedangkan kesulitan apa saja yang mereka hadapi ketika implementasi microteaching program, diantaranya; kekurangan ruangan praktek, kekurangan pengawas, kekurangan peralatan praktek, dan kurang maksimal ketika bimbingan praktek.
