Text 4: News Item

Read the following news article and answer questions 8 and 9 in English and question 10 in Indonesian.

Jalan Tol Bali Perlu 18 Ribu Tiang Pancang Denpasar (Bali Post) – Pembangunan jalan tol yang menghubungkan Nusa

Dua-Bandara Ngurah Rai dan Pelabuhan Benoa mulai dikebut. Di lapangan, baik di darat maupun di laut, terlihat alat berat,

crane, tiang-tiang pancang, termasuk spun pile. Bahkan,

spun pile. “Seluruh persiapan sudah selesai. Tinggal kami kebut pembangunannya supaya

diselesaikan sesuai jadwal,” ujar Akhmad Tito.

MENAKAR FILM NASIONAL 2011 Ditulis Oleh : Djamalul Abidin Ass

jera daunted, want to give up

ke laut goes under/fails

Question 11 (20 marks)

Write a formal letter to the head of the Indonesian Film Producers’ Association,

Mr Firman Bintang acknowledging the issue of falling audience numbers and suggesting how the problem outlined above could be resolved. Write approximately 150 words.
