ABSTRAK
Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi sekarang ini, tidak hanya merubah gaya hidup masyarakat kearah yang lebih modern, tetapi juga merubah bentuk buku konvensional, menjadi bentuk digital. Kemudahan yang ditawarkan sebuah website, selain memudahkan penulis untuk mempublikasikan karya tulisnya dan tidak membutuhkan biaya yang besar, tetapi juga memudahkan penulis untuk mendapatkan feedback langsung dari pembaca. Sehingga free book online menjadi salah satu pilihan masyarakat untuk mempublikasi dan menikmati suatu karya tulis, dalam hal ini salah satu website tesebut adalah wattpad. Kemudahan yang diberikan ini juga ternyata memungkinkan pihak lain untuk melakukan pengunggahan ulang terhadap suatu karya didalam wattpad tersebut. Tujuan penulisan hukum ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana proses pengunggahan ulang di dalam website terjadi dan memberikan pandangan kepada penulis free book online terkait tindakan apa yang dapat dilakukan terhadap pelanggaran hak cipta yang terjadi.
Penulisan ini menggunakan metode penelitian yuridis normatif yaitu dengan mengumpulkan fakta-fakta yang terjadi dan menerapkan azas-azas hukum nasional dan internasional yang mempunyai relevansi dengan masalah ini sedangkan spesifikasi penelitian penulisan ini dengan metode deskriptis analitis. Tahapan penelitian penulisan ini dilakukan dengan penelitian kepustakaan dan teknik pengumpulan data yang dipergunakan dalam penulisan ini yaitu studi kepustakaan

ABSTRACT
Along with the development of technology today, not only lifestyle changes towards a more modern society, but also with changes in the shape of conventional books, into digital form. The convenience offered via a websiteand the ease in which a writer can publish their writing which does not require a big expense are a shift from conventional forms as well as enabling the writers to receive feedback directly from readers. So free online book has developed to become one of the people's choice to publish and enjoy a piece of literature.In this case one of the websites that are at the forefront of this level of proficiency is “Wattpad”. Besides free online reading of literature it also facilitates the possibility to allow other users tore-upload a piece of work in the Wattpad website.
Issues that arediscussed in this law writing study is whether the re-upload undertaken by the Wattpad website users can be categorized as a copyright infringment according to Law No.19 year 2002 on Copyright and the Law 11 year 2008 on Information and Electronic Transactions, and any legal action that can be performed by the owner of the copyright to the uploader and manager of Wattpad. This writing uses juidical normative method, which is to collect the facts that occurred and apply the principles of national and international laws that have relevance to the researched issue, while writing this specification with a descriptive analytical method.Stages of the writing of this study has been conducted with the use ofresearch literature and data collection techniques and subsequent analysis of such literature and data.
