This book was a very interesting and well written depiction of this lady's escape from Nazis and reunion with brother, more than 50 years later. The books describes her brother's experience during this same time. The book also describes the views of members of different groups of society related the German occupation of Poland. The book also did a good job describing the underground support networks in place which helped both the author and her brother survive.

The book arrived in excellent, brand new condition, well before the estimated date of arrival.
I highly recommend this book. It is a very moving and interesting story of survival and reunion. The author paints a vivid picture of her life in Poland and Germany during the war. Her extraordinary story shows a young girl with tremendous courage, ingenuity and luck. In the book the author pays tribute to the non-Jews who risked so much to help her; she would not have survived without their kindness. I couldn't put the book down and I felt overjoyed when the author found her brother after more than half a century. It is wonderful that this account now exists in English.
