Sampoerna Agro recorded a significant increase in CPO production within the third quarter 2017

Q as p odu tio volu e ea hed , to s, or % highe tha se o d ua te Q . The volume surge in 3Q17 was entirely atributable to production recovery from South Sumatra estates.

In 3Q17, South Sumatra estates booked 134% quarter-on-quarter increase in FFB production while Kalimantan estates booked a mere 1% volume increase over 2Q17. Further production breakdown indicated that much of the production spike was attributable to sharply higher external contribution, led by smallholders estates within the region. External contribution surged 195% versus 2Q17 while nucleus production climbed 88% over the same period.

Another notable achievement for our smallholders was in the form of more cooperative units, under guidance of the Company, received RSPO certification this year. Around 3,500 smallholder farmers received their first green certification in early October 2017. Hence, a total of around 4,700 plasma farmers had been granted RSPO certification for their estates.

In terms of green certification, Sampoerna Agro also managed to certify its seventh palm oil mill under the ISPO standards earlier in the year, which meant full ISPO certification for all seven mills operated by the Company. In RSPO terms, there was also one additional certification awarded this year for one of our mills in Kalimantan, for a total of four mills having RSPO certified to date.

In 9M17, total FFB production reached 1.08 million tons, or 54% higher than the same period in 2016

M ). Smallholders estates led the volume growth as their output in 9M17 spiked 81% versus 9M16.

Nucleus estates harvested 629 thousand tons of FFB in 9M17, or 38% higher than 9M16.

Higher selling prices also helped the Company to record Rp2.54 trillion in revenue during 9M17, or 71% rise over 9M16. CPO sales, with around 78% contribution, was sold at an average price of Rp8,314/kg in 9M17, or 17% higher than 9M16 figure.

Earnings for the period amounted to Rp222.88 billion, or 774% higher than the Rp25.51 billion booked in 9M16.
