ADDENDUM TO THE LOAN AGREEMENT BETWEEN

THE REPUBUC OF I NDONESIA AND THE BRUNEI INVESTMENT AGENCY

WHEREAS

1.

The Republic of Indonesia and the Brunei Investment Agency entered into the abovementioned Loan

Agreement on 25tll February 1988 in which the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang

Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam agreed, subject to the terms contained in the said Loan Agreement, to

make available to the Government of the Republic of Indonesia a Loan facility of US$100,000,000 (US

Dollars One Hundred Million only) ("the Loan") for the purpose of the financing of economically viable

projects which benefit the economic infrastructure of the Republic of Indonesia;

2.

The Republic of Indonesia has made fourteen instalment repayments, the last repayment being made

on 25 May 1998, in accordance with the repayment periods set out in Schedule 1 hereto;

3.

Due to the economic and financial constrains faced by the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of

Indonesia has made a request to the Brunei Investment Agency to consider postponing the 15th to the

21" instalment repayments of the principal sum falling due under the said Loan Agreement for the

penod 25th August 1998 to 25th February 2000 totaling a sum of US$6,930,693.07 (US Dollars Six

Million Nine Hundred and Thirty Thousand Six Hundred and Ninety Three and Seven Cents Only).

NOW IT IS AGREED between the Parties hereto as follows:

1.

Clause 5 of the said Loan Agreement is amended to the extent that the Borrower will pay the 15

the 21ot Instalment repayments of the principal sum falling due under the said Loan Agreement for the

period 25t11 August 1998 to 25th February 2000 in a form of diminishing Instalment beginning from 25t11

May 2000 until 25 February 2020 in accordance with the revised repayment schedule annexed hereto

as Schedule 2.

2.

All the other terms and conditions of the said Loan Agreement save as amended herein shall stand

unamended and remain in full force and effect.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF this Addendum has been executed in duplicate by the authorised representatives of
