ABSTRAK
Artalia Br Sitorus (130304119) dengan judul skripsi “Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi Ketersediaan Padi dan Jagung di Kabupaten Karo”. Penelitian ini dibimbing oleh Bapak Dr. Ir. Satia Negara Lubis, M. Ec sebagai ketua komisi pembimbing dan Ibu Ir. AT. Hutajulu, M.S sebagai anggota komisi pembimbing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi ketersediaan Padi dan Jagung di Kabupaten Karo. Daerah penelitian ditentukan secara sengaja (purposive). Metode penelitian menggunakan metode regresi linier berganda dengan range tahun 2001 sampai 2015.
Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa ketersediaan padi dan jagung di Kabupaten Karo memiliki nilai koefisien determinasi R2 yang sama yakni sebesar 0,98 yang berarti sebesar 98% variabel bebas padi dan jagung tersebut berpengaruh terhadap variabel terikat yakni ketersediaan padi dan jagung, sedangkan sisanya 2% dipengaruhi oleh variabel bebas lain. Secara serempak ketersediaan padi di pengaruhi luas panen padi, konsumsi beras, harga domestik beras dan harga impor beras. Ketersediaan jagung secara serempak dipengaruhi oleh pendapatan, luas panen jagung dan harga domestik jagung. Secara parsial ketersediaan padi dipengaruhi oleh konsumsi beras dan harga domestik beras. Adapun ketersediaan jagung secara parsial dipengaruhi oleh semua variabel yaitu variabel pendapatan, luas panen jagung dan harga domestik jagung di Kabupaten Karo.

Artalia Br Sitorus (130304119) with the thesis entitled, The Factors which
Influence the Availability of Rice and Corn in Karo Regency. This research was
supervised by Dr. Ir. Setia Negara Lubis, M.Sc as the Chairperson of the Supervisory Committee and Ir. A.T. Hutajulu, M.S as the Member of the Supervisory Committee.
The objective of the research was to analyze some factors which influenced the availability of rice and corn in Karo Regency. The research area was determined purposely. The research used multiple linear regression analysis attherange of 2001 to 2015.
The result of the research showed that the availability of rice and corn in Karo Regency had the same coefficient determination R2 at 0.98 which indicated that 98% of independent variables of rice and corn had the influence on dependent variable, the availability of rice and corn, while the remaining 2% was influenced by the other independent variables. Simultaneously, the availability of rice was influenced by the rice harvesting area, rice consumption, rice domestic price, and rice imported price. The availability of corn simultaneously was influenced by income, corn harvesting area, and corn domestic price. Partially, the availability of rice was influenced by rice consumption and rice domestic price. Partially, the availability of corn was influenced by all variables; namely, the variables of income, corn harvesting area, and corn domestic price in Karo Regency.
