Air is polluted when it contains harmful materials.
There are two types of air pollution. Natural pollution
and pollution caused by people. Natural pollution is
caused by pollutants from nature, like dust in volcanic
eruption, fog, etc. Pollution caused by people is
produced by industrial waste and fume from vehicles like
cars, buses or trucks. It is more dangerous because they
contain harmful material for people to breathe. For
example Oxides and sulfur which can be found in burning
fuels can damage people lungs. Carbon monoxide is
poisonous gas from the incomplete burning of the
carbon in fuel, gas, coal and oil. Most of the carbon
monoxide in the air comes from the exhaust of the
vehicles.
