Si dan Ilham Gemiharto, S.Sos. Jurusan Manajemen Komunikasi, Program Sarjana Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi, Universitas Padjajaran, Bandung.
Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kompetensi, karakter, dan karisma AA’Boxer yang bernama Isman Kosmantara, S. Si seorang pelatih Tarung Derajat. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah anggota Tarung Derajat di Kabupaten Bandung.
Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik strata proprosional sampling. Sedangkan pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik angket, wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka.
Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kredibilitas yang diwakili oleh kompetensi, karakter dan karisma AA’ Boxer secara umum sangat tinggi hingga dapat membentuk sikap anggota Tarung Derajat. Anggota mampu mengenal, memahami, dan menerima pembentukan sikap yang diberikan oleh AA’ Boxer.

The purpose of this research is to investigate a competency, character, and charisma from AA’Boxer named Isman Kosmantara, S. Si, coach of Tarung Derajat. Respondents of this research is a member of Tarung Derajat in Kabupaten Bandung.
The method used is descriptive method with a strata proposional sampling technique. While collecting data using questionnaires techniques, interviews, observation, and literature study.
From the results of this research indicate that the credibility that representative by competency, character and charisma from AA’ Boxer generally is very high so that he could create his Tarung Derajat member attitude. The member is capable to know, understanding, and receive the attitude formation from AA’Boxer.
Suggestion from writer to member of Tarung Derajat especially at Kabupaten Bandung is, to know their coach closer and understanding as well as entrust every knowledge activities that has been delivered by their coach. In order to process the formation of attitude and character member that desirable by coach could be happen. The other suggestion for Isman Kosmantara and other Tarung Derajat coach as AA’ Boxer is to improve a communication out of exercise time, until their reach an open communication for the member. So not only the member know a character of their coach, but the other way.
