Literary work is not only as a medium of education, social control, rebellion, but also has the function as the delivery of messages to the public about problems which is exist, so that we can have an idea of what we should do when it comes to facing the same problems with what is happening in a literary work. In Indonesia, there are many cases of violence in schools. Recorded violence among students in 2014 increased by 20% compared to 2013. The writer argued that this occurs because of a lack of moral education. Songs not only consist of music and lyrics for entertainment, but also delivers some message to listeners. Song lyrics make a big contribution of listener to deep understanding about the message contained in song. Through the song can help students in improving four English skills.
The objectives of this research are: (i) To know the backgrounds of English song lyrics in Thank You Allah album by Maher Zain. (ii) To know the moral messages of English song lyrics in Thank You Allah album by Maher Zain that reveal education.
The design of this research is descriptive qualitative. Data of this research are data of background and messages in Thank You Allah, Insya Allah, Guide Me All The Way to Your Jannah, Hold my Hands song lyrics in Thank You Allah album by Maher Zain. The data sources are song lyrics in Thank You Allah album taken from internet.

Karya sastra selain sebagai media pendidikan, kontrol sosial, pemberontakan, juga berfungsi sebagai penyampaian pesan kepada masyarakat atas segala persoalan yang ada, sehingga kita dapat mempunyai gambaran atas apa yang harus kita lakukan saat harus menghadapi persoalan yang sama dengan apa yang terjadi dalam sebuah karya sastra. Di Indonesia banyak kasus kekerasan terjadi di Sekolah. Tercatat kekerasan antar pelajar di tahun 2014 meningkat 20% dibandingkan dengan tahun 2013. Penulis berpendapat bahwa ini terjadi karena kurangnya pendidikan moral. Lagu tidak hanya terdiri dari musik dan lirik untuk hiburan, tetapi juga memberikan beberapa pesan kepada pendengar. Lirik lagu memberikan kontribusi besar pendengar untuk pemahaman yang mendalam tentang pesan yang terkandung dalam lagu. Melalui lagu dapat membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan empat kemampuan berbahasa Inggris.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (i) Untuk menjelaskan latar belakang yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu berbahasa Inggris dalam album Thank You Allah oleh Maher Zain. (ii) Untuk menjelaskan pesan moral yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu berbahasa Inggris dalam album Thank You Allah oleh Maher Zain yang menyatakan Pendidikan.
Desain dari penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah latar belakang dan pesan dalam lagu. Thank You Allah, Insya Allah, Guide Me All The Way to Your Jannah, Hold my Hands song lyrics in Thank You Allah album by Maher Zain. Sumber data adalah lirik lagu dalam album thank you Allah dambil dari internet.
Maher Zain dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat enam jenis pesan moral, mereka adalah: 1) Syukur: Thank you Allah (5), Guide Me All the Way to your Jannah (1). 2) Pengampunan: Guide Me All the Way to your Jannah (1). 3) Kesabaran: Insya Allah(6), Guide Me All the Way to your Jannah (1), Hold My hand(4). 4) Cinta dan Kasih sayang: Thank you Allah(3), Guide Me All the Way to your Jannah (2), Hold My hand (6). 5) Kebenaran: Insya Allah (3), Guide Me All the Way to your Jannah (3), Hold My hand (3). 6) Menjaga kesucian diri: Thank you Allah(1), Insya Allah (2), Guide Me All the Way to your Jannah (3).
