EDITORIAL GREETINGS
Jurnal Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam (JEBIS) has come to its 6th volume since the first issue in the mid of 2015. From the beginning, the entire JEBIS team and authors always tried to give their best by providing original scripts that focused on Islamic economics, including research reports, case reports, application of theory, critical studies, and literature reviews. The incoming article has been reviewed by a minimum of two reviewers that ultimately will be selected by the editor in chief in a forum of the editorial board meeting. In addition, maintaining the quality and originality of the article is also carried out with a plagiarism test using Turnitin software.
It’s finally here! Our team had been worked hard for the second publication of Jurnal Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam (JEBIS) in this year. Thank you for the dedication given by all the team and reviewers.
Also, we would like to thank the contribution of all authors by submitting their brilliant ideas and writings to JEBIS. All hard work paid off with the publication of JEBIS Volume 6 Edition 2, July-December 2020, on time.
In this edition, JEBIS offers you a total of ten articles related to Islamic Economics studies.
Empirical studies had been done for this edition, especially in the topics of Sharia insurance, Islamic banking, Halal tourism, Islamic social finance such as zakat and waqf, Islamic finance and capital market, entrepreneurship, and even financial lifestyle. Specifically, each topics discuss: audit problems in Indonesia zakat institutions, firm value on the Indonesian Islamic Stock Index, the determinant of the third party fun in Indonesia Islamic banking and economics growth of Organization of Islamic Cooperation, sharia life insurance income in Indonesia, consumption behavior of bidikmisi scholarship students, the implementation of maqashid sharia in Malaysia and Indonesia zakat institution, waqif’s intention in contributing waqf, and the opportunities of Indonesian household to open business.
Specifically, one’s topic using Meta-Analysis that have fresh result with new approach. Moreover, JEBIS Vol 6, 2nd Edition also has topic about sharia hotel management in covid-19 condition.
The articles that have been published are expected to help various parties in developing Islamic economics. Therefore, the contribution of academics, practitioners, and researchers is needed to achieve this. Finally, thank you for the author's participation and the hard work of the reviewers and JEBIS team. See you in the next edition!
