THE AMENDMENT TO ATTACHMENT I TO DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE
NO. 230/MPP/Kep/7/1997 ON GOODS SUBJECTED TO IMPORT CONTROL
THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE, Considering :
a. that since many domestic importers have imported rags through procedures violating the provisions in the laws in force thus inflicting loss on and disturbing other certain industries, it is deemed necessary to amend serial number of 108 of Attachment I to Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 230/MPP/Kep/7/1997 on goods subjected to import control;
b. that in relation thereto, it is necessary to issue a decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade;
In view of :
1. Trade Ordinance of 1934 (Statute Book of 1938 No. 86) as already amended and supplemented;
2. Law No. 7/1994 on ratification of Agreement Establishing The World Trade Organization (Statute Book of 1994 No. 57, Supplement to Statute Book No. 3564);
3. Law No. 10/1995 on customs affairs (Statute Book of 1995 No. 75, Supplement to Statute Book No.3612); 4. Presidential Decree No. 260/1967 on the affirmation of tasks and responsibility of the Minister of Trade in
the foreign trade sector;
5. Presidential Decree No. 228/M/2001 on the establishment of Mutual Cooperation Cabinet;
6. Presidential Decree No. 102/2001 on the status, tasks, functions, organizational structures and working arrangements of ministries;
7. Presidential Decree No. 109/2001 on first-echelon organizational units and tasks of ministries;
8. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 229/MPP/Kep/7/1997 on import general provisions; 9. Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 230/MPP/Kep/7/1997 on goods subjected import control; 10.Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 231/MPP/Kep/7/1997 on procedures for import of waste; 11.Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 550/MPP/Kep/10/1999 on Importer Identity Number
(API) as already amended by Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 253/MPP/Kep/7/2000; 12.Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 86/MPP/Kep/3/2001 on the organization and working
arrangement of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

THE DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE ON THE AMENDMENT TO ATTACHMENT I TO DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE NO. 230/MPP/Kep/7/1997 CONCERNING GOODS SUBJECTED TO IMPORT CONTROL.
Article I
1. To amend serial number of 108 of Attachment I to Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 230/MPP/Kep/7/1997,

2. With the stipulation of this decree :
a. all other provisions contained in Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 230/MPP/kep/7/1997 shall be declared to remain effective;
b. serial number of 16 of Attachment I to Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 231/MPP/kep/7/1997 on procedures for import of waste shall be declared null and void.
3. Import of rags having its L/C opened before the date of stipulation of this decree still can be executed with the provision that the imported goods have arrived the destination seaport not later than 15 (fifteen) days, starting from the date of stipulation of this decree.
Article II
This decree shall come into force as from the date of stipulation.
For public cognizance, this decree shall be announced by placing it in State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
