1 Consultation process for the development of CHS guidance notes and indicators
Aim: The consultation process aims to improve the quality of the guidance notes and key indicators whilst also encouraging a greater sense of ownership of and familiarity with them.
Oversight: A steering committee has been established with representatives of HAP and People In Aid, Groupe URD and Sphere, to oversee the overall guidance development process. Its responsibility is to ensure the drafting process follows agreed terms and is of high quality, reflecting an inclusive approach. The group convenes periodically to review progress, and on an ad hoc basis when support is required to advance the drafting process.
Technical Working Group members include: CDAC, DEC, Groupe URD, HAP, Oxfam, People In Aid, Save the Children, Sphere, UN OCHA. The group is facilitated by HAP consultant Suzanne Ferron and chaired by Oxfam.

UNOCHA. This group is facilitated by Sphere consultant Marilise Turnbull and chaired by Oxfam.

Widespread consultation in the humanitarian sector which will include field-testing as well as feedback opportunities, including:
- An open invitation on the CHS website for anyone interested to comment - Engaging all participants in
the CHS development process, including writers, technical advisors and testing agencies.
- Members of HAP, People In Aid, Sphere and Groupe URD constituencies
- UN and Donor agencies, IASC taskteams, clusters among others
HAP, PIA and Sphere to lead general consultation
Field testing working group to arrange for opportunistic and planned field testing
