Abstrak :

Sustainable development has been widely profound in Central Java Province since 2001. the government

realizes that suistanable paradigm should be adopted in every level and sectors related with development. However, development without monitoring is not suistained, therefore it is important to formulate the monitoring progress for sustainable development in Central Java. The prerequisites for this monitoring progress are the availibility of information system and active continuing participation from stakeholders. Sensitivity to the need and political change are also factors supporting the success of the monitoring implementation. Then monitoring is focused on how and by whom the monitoring activity is done. Hence, it is recommended to create implementation strategy as follows: process and institutional legality, system mechanism, transparency on output and access to information system, guarantee for data availiability and continuity.
