Abstract
Sonatina is a form of music that hs evolved since the Baroque era to the present with slightly dfferent unction in every perio. Especially in the 20th century, the use of the title Sonatina is not simply a matter of form alone, but it relates also to many other aspects, for instance the iluence of cultural transformation. This is in line with the increasing complexiy of the low I ism music since 1900- 1950 that led to the attitude and individual syle of each composer.
Sonatina Op. 15 for lute and guitar was composed in 1950. This is one of the six wors titled Sonatina written by by John William Duarte, out of more than 200 musical wors. This Sonatina is a single movement patten, in addition the element syles of jazz idiom occurs.
