Once upon a time , there was a pretty woman named Rose who lived in a beautiful village. She lived in a simple house. In front of the house, there was a beauty garden. The grasswas like a carpet for the garden. There were flowers in the garden, like Rose flower, jasmine flower, and lily flower. She lived with her parents, a little sister, and her white rabbit named Pio-Pio. She liked to wear white dress. Everyday, she always went to the garden to sprinkle her flowers, and played with her rabbit.
“Hi, my lovely rabbit. Run to me”, said Rose.
She was very happy. The people in the house were very happy with Rose. Because, She was a kind and good woman.
One day, there was a handsome man who lived near Rose’s house. His name was Harry. He always looked at Rose, when she played in her garden. Every hour, every minute, every second, and every day he always payedattention on her.But, Rose did not realize that. He fell in love with Rose. He tried to say that he fell in love with her, but he could not. He was afraid, if she refused him. The next morning, Rose went to a florist near the village to buy some flowers. Suddenly, Shemet Harry. Harry decided to greet Rose.
“ Hi, Rose”, said Harry.
“Oh, Hi. Who are you? You know my name?”, said Rose.
“Yes, My name is Harry. My house is near your house”, said Harry.
From that moment, Harry became Rose’s best friend. Everyday, Harry helped Rose in the garden and played together. In the night, Harry always talked to the moon. “Rose, I want to say something. Although, I can’t make a wonderful words, but I just want you to know, that I am falling in love with you. I wish you know that”. In the morning, Rose walked around the village, and went to the forest. In the forest, there was a hole. Suddenly, Rose fell down into the hole. Her head hita stone near the hole. It caused Rose could not speak. Rose’s parents and Harry foundRose in the hole. That accident made Rose became dumb. She was sad. But, harry always made Rose felt happy everyday.
On a sunny day, Harry has a brave to say that He fell in love with Rose. “Rose, I want to say that I fell in love with you”, said Harry.

BRER RABBIT FOOLS SIS COW
One day, Brer Rabbit was skipping down the road and heading for home in the briar patch when he spotted Sis Cow grazing in the field. It was a mighthy hot day and Brer Rabbit was thirsty. Some milk would be real fiune in such a warm afternoon, so Brer Rabbit asked Sis Cow for milk but Sis Cow always refused then Brer Rabbit made a plan.
“ Howdy Sis Cow, “ said Brer Rabbit walking up to her in the field. “Howdy yourself Brer Rabbit! How are your floks?” said Sis Cow. “ Fair on middling, how is Brer Bull?
“ Huuumm, So-so.” Replied Sis Cow
“ mmmm by the way, I’m wondering if you could help me out,” Brer Rabbit said to Sis Cow. “I’d like to get some persimmons down out of that tree, but I can’t because it’s too high for me to climb, can you help me, buddy?”
“ I ain’t not good in climb” said Sis Cow dubiously.
“No no, I just need you to butt your head against the tree a few times, then the persimmons will fall down.”
Then, Sis Cow thougt for a while, she agreed for that. Sis Cow backed up a bit and ran at the tree with her horns down. She butted the tree as hard as se could. But Persimmons were still green and none fall down. She tried again and again, accidentally, her horn stuck in the tree. She cried and asked for a help to Rabbit.
“ Help me Brer Rabbit!!! I got this because of you,” Sis Cow pleaded. “ But, Sorry I can’t climb up that high! But I’ll run and fetch Brer Bull.”
So saying, the rascally Brer Rabbit ran home to fetch his missus and all of the kids. They brought a mighty big pail to the field and they milked the trapped Sis Cow until not a drop of milk was left. Sis Cow was pretty sore at Brer Rabbit. She kept pulling and tigging, but she couldn’t get free.
“HAHAHAHA, I’ll comeback for more milk, buddy. Seeing as you’re probably stock ‘till daybreak.”
Brer Rabbit and his family leaving Sis Cow and bring big pail of milk. Sis Cow’s horn still stuck in the tree. She tugged and tugged and finally she was free then she had a quick graze if the green grass to calm herself down. As she ate, she made a plan to revenge Brer Rabbit.
In the morning Brer Rabbit went to field again, then Sis Cow started her plan. Sis Cow put her head down and stuck her horns back into the holes she had made in the tree, pretending she was still stuck. Brer Rabbit had seen Sis Cow grazing as free as you please, so he knew she was up to something when she put her horns back in the tree. He decided to play along with her game for a while to see what she was up to.
Quick as a wink, Brer Rabbit went back down the road and came clippity-lippity, hippity-hoppity down the road, singing as loud as you please. "How are you feeling this morning, Sis Cow?" asked Brer Rabbit when he reached the field.
Oh ho, thought Brer Rabbit to himself. She means to trample me. Aloud he said: "I'm a puny ol' man Sis Cow. If I pull your tail, I might get crushed. So this is as close to you as I'm going to get!"
Well, Sis Cow was furious that her plan hadn't work. She pulled her horns out of the tree lickety-split and started chasing that rascally Brer Rabbit down the road.
Brer Rabbit ran as fast as lightning. He arrived to a place, then he camouflage to be other person. Brer Rabbit chuckled to himself. He folded back his long ears, made his eyes extra wide, and then peered out of a shady corner of the Briar Patch, pretending to be Brer Big Eyes. "What are you doing Sis Cow?" he asked in a high-pitched voice quite unlike his own.
"I'm looking for Brer Rabbit, Brer Big Eyes," said Sis Cow, who did not recognize the trickster rabbit in the dim light of dawn.
"He jest ran passed lickety-split," Brer Rabbit lied.
That was all Sis Cow needed to hear. She gave a bellow of rage, lowered her horns, and ran on down the road.

Lebai Malang
Once there was a young man called Lebai. He was a religion teacher. So, some people called him Mr. Lebai. He lived in a village near a river in west Sumatra.
One day Mr. Lebai was very confused, because he get the party invitation from two rich people. Which one would be attended in the same day, in the same time and the places were far from one another.
The invitation from southern village and Northern village. If he came to the first invitation, Southern village, the owner of the house would gave two buffalo’s head to the Mr.Lebai, but people in the Southern village couldn’t cook. Besides, he didn’t know the owner of the house. If he came to second invitation, Northern village, he would received one buffalo’s head. But the people in the Northern village clever at cooking. In there, he would also received some cake. Besides, he know the owner of the house, because the owner of the house is one of partner.
Mr. Lebai started to paddle by his boat. But he still wouldn’t make a decision, where did Mr.lebai decide to go? To go North or South? Doubtfully, he started to paddle his boat went to Southern village. On the way, he changed his decision, then went to Northern village. When he was on the way when to Northern village, some visitor started to paddle their boat opposite direction with his boat. They told information to Mr.Lebai.
“Buffalo which be slaughtered in Northern village very thin, Mr.Lebay!”
Then, Mr.Lebay turned to other direction to the Southern village, followed those people. He felt very tired he rowed against the stream. When arrived in the Southern village, the party had been finished. Some visitor weren’t in there. And the food weren’t exist. And then Mr.lebai started paddle to the Southern village again. In there, the party finished. The condition was very quiet, no people in there. Mr. Lebai was limp, because he paddled to the south and north of the village. He began to feel hungry, and decided to do one things, named fishing.
Then he returned to his home because he needed to fetch his dog. He also took with them a packet of rice. He began fishing. After waiting some time, he felt the hook the fish eaten. Mr. Lebai was relieved. But when withdrawn, fishing was hard to be appointed to the top. Mr. Lebai think, it definitely hook snagged a rock or coral at the bottom of the river.
Then he plunged into the river to retrieve the fish. Successfully, he removed the fish from the fishing line and curve of stone. But, oops! Once he's finished doing that, even fish regardless. Mr. Lebai felt disappointed once. he went up on the river. Arrived at the top of the water Mr. Lebai felt hungry and want to eat the rice wrapper brought from home.
After making the decision, it turned out the rice has been eaten by his dog! Really unfortunate fate of Mr. Lebai. Misfortune for the sake of adversity he found.

The Lion and The Gnat
“Away with you, vile insect !” said a lion angrily to a gnat that was buzzing around his head. But the gnat was not in the least disturbed.
“Do you think,” he said spitefully to the lion, “that I am afraid of you because they call you king?”
The next instant he flew at the lion and stung him sharply on the nose. The lion was made with rage. He struck fiercely at the gnat, but only succeeded in tearing himself with his claws. Again and again the gnat stung the lion, who now was roaring angrily. At last, worn out with rage and covered with wounds that his own teeth and claws had made. The lion gave up the fight.

The boy, the crow and the sesame seed
Once there was a boy who lived with his grandparents. His job was to look after the garden where they grew beans and sesame. One day, when his grandparents were away, the boy went fishing instead of watching the garden. A crow, seeing that no one was in the garden, flew down and stole some beans and sesame seeds.
The grandparents returned and saw what had happened. They were very angry with their grandson for being so careless. The boy was ashamed of what he had done.He decided to get the beans and sesame seeds back. He went to a hunter. "Please use your arrows, to shoot the crow that stole our sesame" he said.
"Nonsense" replied the hunter. "I wouldn't help a naughty boy like you."
No matter what the boy said, the hunter refused to help, so the boy went to see a mouse. He asked the mouse to chew the hunter's bow-string.
"What has the hunter done to hurt me? I don't see that it's my problem." said the mouse. Then the boy saw a cat. He asked the cat to eat the mouse, but the cat said it wasn't hungry. This made the boy very unhappy, so he asked a dog to chase the cat. The dog said, "Why don't you chase the cat yourself?"
Now the boy was truly upset. He found a hammer which he asked to beat the dog. The hammer refused. He asked a fire to burn the hammer, but the fire refused. He asked the water to put out the fire, but the water refused. He asked the earth to cover the water. "I like water, said the earth."Anyway, this really has nothing to do with me."
The boy saw an elephant standing nearby. He asked the elephant to pound the earth. The elephant refused. The poor boy sat down on a rock and cried. When he stopped crying, lie saw a gnat flying around his head. He caught the gnat and said, "I want you to fly into the elephant's ear. If you don't do it, I'll squeeze you between my fingers."
The gnat was frightened. "I'll do anything you ask, but please, please let me go." So the boy let the gnat go, and it flew into the elephant's car. This hurt the elephant so much that it began to pound the earth. And then the earth began to cover the water. The water started to put out the fire. The fire began to burn the hammer, which threatened to beat the dog. The dog ran away from the hammer and chased the cat, and the cat tried to eat the mouse. But the mouse was beginning to gnaw the hunter's bow-string.
The hunter knocked the mouse away and shot an arrow toward the sky. When the crow saw the arrow, it dropped all the beans and sesame seeds back into the garden and flew away.

Peter Pan
Wendy, John, and Michael Darling lived in London. One night, Wendy woke to find a strange boy sitting on the floor who was crying.
“My name is Wendy,” she said. “Who are you? Why are you crying?
“I’m Peter Pan,” the boy replied. “I’m crying because my shadow won’t stick to me.”
“Don’t cry,” Wendy said. “We can fix that.” And she sewed Peter’s shadow to the tips of his shoes. Peter was delighted.
“Fly back to Neverland with me and my fairy, Tinker Bell,” Peter begged. “You could be our mother and take care of us.”
“Can you teach me to fly?” Wendy asked. Peter nodded.
“Let’s wake John and Michael,” Wendy said. “You can teach us all to fly and then we will leave for Neverland !”
The children were soon flying around the room. then—Swoosh ! Out the window they all flew. Wendy, John, and Michael flew behind Peter Pan and Tinker Bell, following the golden arrows that pointed the way to Neverland. Finally, they were flying over the island.
“The lost boys live with me and Tinker Bell. I’m their captain,” Peter said. “The Indians live over there, and the mermaids live in the lagoon. And there are pirates too, led by Captain Hook.”
“Pirates?” exclaimed Wendy, John, and Michael, all in the same breath. Wendy was frightened, but Michael and John wanted to see the pirates right away.
“Hook’s the meanest pirate ever,” Peter warned. “But he’s afraid of the crocodile. The crocodile bit off Hook’s hand and liked the taste so much that it follows him, hoping for more. Luckily for Hook, the crocodile swallowed a clock. It goes ‘Tick, Mock, and warns Hook when the crocodile is nearby” “Oh, my” cried Wendy, not sure if she really wanted to stay in Neverlanc: after all.
Peter led Wendy, John, and Michael to his house under the woods. They entered through a door hidden in an old tree stump. When the lost boys saw Wendy, they shouted, “Hooray ! Will you be our mother?”
“I’m only a little girl,” Wendy answered. “I have no experience.” But the lost boys looked so sad that she said, “I’ll do my best.”
That night Wendy tucked the boys into bed and told them the tale of Cinderella. Life was pleasant in the cosy house under the woods.
Wendy took care of the boys, who explored the island during the day. At night, they gathered for meals, played make- believe games, and listened while Wendy told them stories.
One day, Peter and the children went exploring near the mermaids’ lagoon. Suddenly Peter yelled, “Pirates ! Take cover.” The boys ran away, and Peter and Wendy hid.
Peter and Wendy could see that the pirates had tied up Tiger Lily, the Indian princess. The pirates had left her on a rock in the lagoon.
Peter was afraid that Tiger Lily would drown when the tide came in. He had to save her ! In a voice that sounded just like Captain Hook’s, he shouted, “Set her free !”
“But, Captain,” the pirates yelled, “you ordered us to bring her here !”
“Let her go !’ Peter roared, still sounding like Hook. “Aye, aye,” the pirates said, and set Tiger Lily free. She swam quickly back to the Indian camp.
That night, Wendy told the boys a story about three children who left their parents and flew to Neverland. Their mother and father missed them very much. The children loved Neverland, but they never forgot their home.
“Did they ever go back?” the lost boys asked.
“Oh, yes,” Wendy replied. “They flew home to their mummy and daddy, and everyone was happy.” The story made Wendy, John, and Michael homesick. They decided to fly home the next morning. “If you come back with us,” Wendy told the lost boys, I’m sure our mother and father would adopt you.”
“Hooray !” shouted the boys, jumping with joy.
Wendy asked Peter if he and Tinker Bell would come home with them too. But Peter didn’t want to live where grown-ups could tell him what to do.
Peter was sad that his friends were leaving. Still, he wanted the children to arrive home safely, so he asked Tinker Bell to guide them on their trip.
Early the next morning, Tinker Bell and the children left the house under the woods. But Captain Hook’s pirates were hiding nearby. They captured all the children, tied them up, and marched them towards the pirate’s ship.
Tinker Bell escaped, and hurried back to tell Peter what had happened.
“It’s Hook or me this time !” yelled Peter to Tinker Bell as they flew off to save Wendy and the boys. On the pirate’s ship, Captain Hook demanded, “Who wants to become a pirate?” The boys shook their heads.
“Then make them walk the plank !” Hook roared. The boys tried to look brave, but they were afraid. Suddenly, they heard the “Tick, Tock” of the crocodile. Now it was Captain Hook’s turn to be afraid. But the “Tick, Tock” was only Peter, imitating the crocodile-. He flew onto the deck and shouted, “I’ve got you now, Hook !” Captain Hook jumped up and swung at Peter with his sword. Peter was quick, and stepped away. He slashed at Hook with his own sword until they came close to the edge of the ship.
Peter lunged with his sword, and Hook fell into the sea, where the crocodile was waiting for him. And that was the end of Captain. I-look!
When Peter was certain that Hook was gone forever, he and Tinker Bell set off for London with Wendy and the boys.
Wendy’s parents were happy to see their children again. Mr. and Mrs. Darling hugged Wendy, John, and Michael, and agreed to adopt the lost boys. They asked Peter to stay with them also, but he said, “I’m going to stay in Neverland where I never have to grow up.”

Once upon a time, there was a poor newly married couple, Jonh and Jane. They were lived in the corner of New York City. Jonh’s wage was enough to rent only a very small apartement. They lived simple with what they had. But there were two things of which each were extremely proud: Jane had the beautiful necklace without the pendulum, and John had a magnificent gold pocket watch. The necklace and the watch were given by their parents.
The Anniversary’s Day was drawing near. John and Jane began to think what present they could afford to give each other. Jane always noticed sadly when John looked his watch. He couldn’t used his watch because the empty battery. And John often thought, as he looked at Jane. How nice it would if he could bought her a beautiful pendulum for her necklace. But, a beautiful pendulum and battery would have cost far money than they could afford. Both of them was really confused. However, they were also wanted to give each other.
Suddenly, Jane had a wonderful idea! Quickly she run down the street to the shop with the notice ‘Gold Shop’. She went in and sold the necklace without pendulum to the seller. On the way home, she stopped in the watchmaker’s shop and found the battery for John’s watch. After that, John also looked in the same shop with Jane. He went in the ‘Gold Shop’ and sold the gold watch to bought pendulum for Jane.
Returning home, Jane wrapped the precious gift in a pieces of colored paper. When John arrived home and he saw the gift on the table.
“What is that?” Jack opened the parcel.
“I had to sold my necklace to get some money for your present. Happy Anniversary, John darling.”
John was speechless after looked that the gift for him is battery. In fact, he just sold the gold watch to bought Jane’s pendulum. John dropped into a chair and laughed until tears came out of his eyes.
“I think we’d better put this present away for a while,” he said, gently at last. “You see,” he continued, taking a small package from his pocket.
“I sold my watch to buy this pendulum for your necklace. Isn’t that funny?”

GOLDEN CUCUMBER
Once upon a time, not far from a jungle, lived husband and a wife. The were farmers. The were diligent farmers and always worked hard on the paddy fields. They had been married for many years and still not have a child yet. Everyday they prayed and prayed for a child.
One night, while they were praying, a giant passed their house. The giant heard they pray. "Don't worry farmers. I can give you a child. But you have to give me that child when she is 17 years old," said the giant.
The farmers were so happy. They did not think about the risk of losing their child later and agree to take the offer. Later, the giant gave them a bunch of cucumber seeds. The farmers planted them carefully. Then the seeds changed into plants.
Not longer after that, a big golden cucumber grew from plants. After it had ripe, the farmers picked and cut it. They were very surprised to see beautiful girl inside the cucumber. They named her Timun Mas or Golden Cucumber. Years passed by and Timun Mas has changed into a beautiful girl.
On her 17th birthday, Timun Mas was very happy. However, the parents were very sad. They knew they had to keep their promise to the giant but they also did not want to lose their beloved daughter.
Right after that, the giant came into their house. The mother wanted her daughter run to saved her life.The giant was angry. He knew the farmers wanted to break their promise. He chased Timun Mas away. The giant was getting closer and closer.
Timun Mas then opened the bag and threw a handful of salt. It became sea. The giant had to swim to cross the sea. Later, Timun Mas threw some chilly. It became a jungle with trees. The trees had sharp thorns so they hurt the giant.
However, the giant was still able to chase Timun Mas. Timun Mas took her third magic stuff. It was cucumber seeds. She threw them and became cucumber field. B
ut the giant still could escape from the field. Then it was the last magic stuff she had in the bag. It was a shrimp paste, terasi. She threw it and became a big swamp.

The Ugly Duckling
One upon time, a mother duck sat on her eggs. She felt tired of sitting on them. She just wished the eggs would break out.
Several days later, she got her wish. The eggs cracked and some cute little ducklings appeared. "Peep, peep" the little ducklings cried. "Quack, quack" their mother greeted in return.
However the largest egg had not cracked. The mother duck sat on it for several days. Finally, it cracked and a huge ugly duckling waddled out. The mother duck looked at him in surprise. He was so big and very gray. He didn't look like the others at all. He was like a turkey When the mother duck brought the children to the pond for their first swimming lesson. The huge grey duckling splashed and paddled about just as nicely as the other ducklings did. "That is not a turkey chick. He is my very own son and quite handsome" the mother said proudly.
However, the other animals didn't agree. They hissed and made fun of him day by day. Even his own sisters and brothers were very unkind. "You are very ugly" they quacked.
The little poor duckling was very unhappy. "I wish I looked like them" he thought to himself. One day, the ugly duckling run away and hid in the bushes. The sad duckling lived alone through the cold and snow winter. Finally the spring flowers began to bloom. While he was swimming in the pond, he saw three large white swans swimming toward him. "Oh, dear. these beautiful birds will laugh and peck me too" he said to himself. But the swans did not attack him. Instead, they swam around him and stroked him with their bills. As the ugly duckling bent his neck to speak to them, he saw his reflection in the water. He could not believe his eyes. "I am not an ugly duckling but a beautiful swam" he exclaimed.

BROTHER BEAR
Once upon a time, in the deep a beautiful outlying place, there have a small tribe. The people in the tribe have one conviction. They have to do to coronation ceremony when someone else into adulthood. In the ceremony, who someone else into adulthood got a symbol. The symbol is totem. a necklace in the shape of an animal.
In the tribe, there lived three brother. Kenai, the youngest brother. Denahi, the middle brother. And Sitka, the eldest brother. The Shaman named Tanana, and the people another. Tanana, the oldest people in the tribe. She is good chief. She always guide the ceremony. She is the one who determine and confer a totem.
One day, Kenai have to do to coronation ceremony. He got a totem shaped bear. Unlike Sitka, who gained the eagle of guidance, and Denahi, who gained the wolf of wisdom. Kenai receives the bear of love, to which he objects, stating that bears are thieves. He believes his point is made a fact when a bear takes some salmon. Kenai and his brothers pursue the bear, but a fight follows on a glacier, during which Sitka giving his life to save his brothers, although the bear survives. Then Sitka pass away.
Because Kenai got very angry,then Kenai heads out to avenge Sitka. He chases the bear up onto a mountain and kills it. Suddenly, aurora light is appear and drawn round the mountain. Then Sitka's spirit in the form of a bald eagle, changed Kenai into a bear after the dead bear's body disappears. Denahi arrives in then mountain , mistaking Kenai for dead, and believing the bear was kills Kenai. Denahi was responsible, vows to avenge Kenai by hunting it down.
After Kenai changed into a bear, he leaves the tribe and begin alive in the forest near the tribe. He meet another animal. A Cub named Koda, a couple of deer named Rutt and Tuke. They became a best friend. Koda always teach Kenai how to catch salmon, telling Kenai about Koda’s daily, and playing together in the river.
Another side, The two are hunted by Denahi, who fails multiple times to kill Kenai, still unaware that he is his brother. Rutt and Tuke run into the bears multiple times, the group hitching a ride on a herd of mammoths to quicken the pace to the salmon run, but the moose are left behind when the bears move on. Kenai and Koda escape Denahi again and reach the salmon run, where a large number of bears live as a family, including the leader Tug, a grizzly bear. Kenai becomes very much at home and content with the other bears. During a discussion among the bears, Koda tells a story about his mother fighting human hunters, making Kenai realize that the bear he killed was Koda's mother.

One day Tito and his two brothers looked for firewood, because Tito’s mother had to eat some food. While they were working, suddenly a fairy godmother came. “Hello boys, what are you doing here?” asked fairy godmother.“We’re looking for some firewoods,” Tito answered. “What for?” asked fairy godmother. “My mother is sick, she has severe disease. She has to eat, so we need some firewood,” answered Tito again. Then A fairy godmother smiled to him. “Ok, dear. I give each of you one wish,” said fairy godmother. Tito’s first brother directly answered, “ I wish that I’ll be a rich person in this village !” Fairy godmother changed him instantly into a rich person. He laughed loudly then. Tito’s second brother didn’t want to lose so he answered, “I wish I’ll be a king of this village !” next fairy godmother changed him into a king. “Hahaha now I’m a king !” he mocked. The Moon, A Balloon, and A Spoon
The story began when everybody had gone to bed. All the children in the houses had been fast asleep for hours, and all the grown-ups too. Only the cats that sat on the rooftops were wide awake in the moonlight.
Suddenly there came a noise like thunder perhaps, or a jet plane maybe, or the roaring, rushing sound or a hurricane no one could really say for sure.
All at once everyone was out or bed opening their windows and looking up into the sky. There it was again, and again, and again. The noise was so loud that it knocked off some of the chimney pots and sent them rolling down the roofs.
“What is it?” the people in the houses cried with fright.
A ginger cat who had been sitting on the roof seemed to know the answer.
“It’s the moon!” he purred, looking very aloof. “The Moon has a bad cold and he keeps on sneezing!” and the ginger cat strolled off to find a quieter rooftop.
Sure enough when the people looked up into the sky, they could see that the Moon had a dreadful cold red nose and all!
The stars were scattered across the sky, for they found it very difficult to hang on when the Moon was sneezing so hard.
All through that night the moon sneezed and sneezed. No one got a wink of sleep and everyone felt very tired and grumpy next morning.
“What are we going to do?” neighbours asked one another but nobody had the least idea. “How long does a bad cold usually last?” someone asked the chemist in the shop down the street.
“At least a week.” He said gravely, “and in some cases up to a fortnight!” Everybody groaned. No sleep for a fortnight. It was unthinkable.
“What the Moon really needs is a bottle of my best cold medicine.” The chemist went on. “That will stop him sneezing in a jiffy.”
“This all sounds very silly indeed.” Said a lady who lived in one of the houses. “How on earth can we give medicine to the Moon?”
“Somebody could float up there in a balloon,” said one little boy “they do it all the time in nursery rhymes and fairy stories.”
“That sounds like a very good idea to me.” A man spoke up, “I have a hot air balloon and would gladly help the Moon’s bad cold!”
First the medicine had to be mixed. The chemist found everything he needed and put all the ingredients into a great big bowl. He had a giant bottle in his shop window so he carefully poured the cold mixture into that. “So far so good,” smiled the chemist looking very pleased with himself.
So straight away he ran to his shop to fetch the giant spoon. The man who owned the hot air balloon started getting things ready.
The little boy (whose idea it was in the first place) was going up in the basket to give the Moon the medicine. By the time darkness fell and the Moon appeared in the sky, everything was read
You could hear that the Moon’s cold was no better, in fact he sounded much worse. Even the clouds were being blown all over the place. “Soon we shall be sneezing instead of twinkling,” some of the stars grumbled loudly. At long last the man in the hot air balloon and the little boy, reached the Moon.
Very, very carefully the little boy gave the Moon the cold medicine from the giant spoon. “Is it alright to take the whole bottle?” asked the Moon wheezing and sneezing. “Perfectly alright,” the little boy replied. “It says so on the label!”

Once upon a time there lived a boy named Bill, who always dreamed of flying to the moon.
One summer evening when Bill was trying to go to sleep, he was bothered by his big brother Ron. Ron was playing his new boom box too loud. The only way Bill could go to sleep was to put on some headphones and play a tape. His favorite tape had the sound of the ocean waves splashing up on shore.
As he lay there in bed with his eyes closed pretending he was lying on the beach under a full moon, he began to daydream about flying to the moon in a rocket ship. The rocket ship was not very big--just big enough for two astronauts. He and his brother Ron were co-astronauts. Bill called out to Ron, "Navigator ready?" Ron called back in the headset, "Yes, navigator ready." "Mission control ready?" Bill asked into the headset. "Mission control ready. We will begin countdown in T minus ten seconds, nine seconds, eight seconds" . . . Bill's heart began to race . . . "two seconds, one . . . BLASTOFF!"
Bill and Ron were thrown back into their seats. They could feel the skin on their faces being stretched back towards their ears. Then they felt like they weighed 100 pounds apiece. Their rocket ship zoomed up into the sky so fast everything out the window was just a blur. It seemed like just a couple of minutes had gone by when everything got really smooth and quiet. They were now in outer space!
Bill was sitting in the front seat and Ron was in the back. Bill asked Ron, "What does it look like out the back?" "It looks like earth is just a blue and white ball. You can see the clouds and oceans, but you cannot see any cities or trees."Ron asked Bill, "Can you see the moon coming up?" "Yes, I see it," Bill said. "I think we will be there in about 30 minutes if my calculations are correct. We're going 25,000 miles per hour and it is about 50,000 miles to the moon." "Cool," said Ron. "I think I will play my Game Boy and listen to some music on my boom box." "You brought your boom box?" Bill was obviously annoyed. "You know I don't go anywhere without my boom box," said Ron. He turned on the music and the boys listened. The time quickly passed."Mission control to Bill," came over the headsets. "Bill here." "You will need to prepare for landing in two minutes," said the voice. "Roger, we'll be ready," said Bill. "Here we go. Hold on, it looks like it might be a rough landing." The rocket ship came in very rough. So rough that both Bill and Ron's airbags deployed. Finally, they came to rest. "Bill, are you O.K.?" asked Ron. "Yes, I'm O.K., but that airbag hit me in the face like a rock-hard pillow. I think my nose would be bleeding if I didn't have on this helmet. Let's take a look around and see if the rocket ship is O.K." "Good idea," said Ron.
They put on their moon walk suits. The moon walk suits were big and heavy. They had built in air conditioners to cool them when the sun was on them and a heater to warm them up when they were in the shade. Since they were in outer space, it would go way below freezing in the shade and get so hot you could get burned in the sun. When they stepped outside, they felt like they were floating on air. They only weighed about six pounds each. So when they walked, it was as if they bounced. They bounced up about ten feet with each step. They quickly gathered up some moon rocks as souvenirs. Then they began to inspect the rocket to make sure it was flyable for the return trip. Things did not look good. The portion of the ship that housed the rocket starter was heavily damaged. The batteries that turned the starter were completely destroyed. They began to fear that they might be trapped on the moon. "What are we going to do?" asked Ron. He looked scared. "I don't know," Bill answered. "Let's call Mission Control and see if they have any suggestions."
They nervously sat in their seats and waited for Mission Control. No reply. After awhile, Bill jumped up and said, "I've got it! Give me your boom box." Ron said, "What? Are you crazy?" "No just give it to me," said Bill. Ron surrendered his boom box. Bill took it and turned it on real loud and smiled. Ron looked sad. He just knew that Bill was losing his mind. Then Bill turned off the music and flipped the boom box upside down. He opened the battery compartment and took out the eight large batteries. "I think we can tape these together and make one big battery that will start the rocket," said Bill. "Hand me that duct take from the tool kit." "Sounds like a good idea to me," said Ron. Bill lined up the batteries in two rows of four and taped them together in a bundle. He took a piece of tape and connected a wire to the batteries on each end. He hooked one up to the starter. He took the other wire and ran it back up to his seat in the front. Bill told Ron to get in his seat. "If I touch the wire to the metal on the dashboard, the starter should work and we can blast-off." Ron hoped that he was right. "Are you ready?" Bill asked Ron without waiting for an answer. "Here goes!" As he touched the wire to the dashboard, they could hear the roar of the rocket. Before they knew it, they were zooming back through space towards earth. "Yippee!" how they both yelled.

RUPERT THE RHINOCEROS
In a dense thicket in deepest Africa, there lived a rhinoceros. His name was Rupert. Rupert was really very nice. But everyone thought he was horrid, because no matter who came near, Rupert always charged!
He charged at the timid kudu. He charged at the spotted leopard. He charged at the tall giraffe. He even charged at the enormous elephant!
One day he charged at a hunter, but the hunter did not run away. Suddenly the ground gave way under Rupert and he fell into a trap the hunter had made. The hunter’s helpers put him in a cage and took him to the port where their ship was anchored. As the cage went up, Rupert said farewell to Deepest Africa.
One day, there was a terrible storm at sea. Down in the hold of pitching ship, Rupert’s cage fell over with a crash—and the door sprang open! Now Rupert was free! But just as he climbed up on deck, a sailor came near. Rupert could not help himself; he charged again.
The sailor leaped aside—and Rupert crashed through the railing. Luckily, a whale happened to swim by. Rupert helm on tight, and had a nice ride on the whale’s back. After a long swim, the whale let him off near a beach, and Rupert said goodbye.
Behind the beach, Rupert found a city. By the light of the moon, he walked along the quiet streets, until at last he found a park and fell asleep.
In the morning, parade came near the park. People watched and people marched. The mayor rode in a long, long, long car. The drummers went BABBOOM, BABBOOM, BABBOOM—and Rupert woke up. Rupert charged wildly again.

Next day Rupert woke up in a hospital. His horn was bandaged, and a kindly old doctor was taking his pulse. “Don’t worry, Rupert,” said the doctor. “You’ll be better soon.”
Then the kindly doctor gave him an Eye Test. Rupert tried his best to read the Eye Chart. But all he could see was a fuzzy blur.
“Hmmm,” said the doctor. “Just as I thought, Rupert. You are really nice, but you have very poor eyesight. No matter who comes near, you see only a fuzzy blur. That frightens you—and that is why you’re always charging wildly.” The doctor opened a large white drawer. And he fitted Rupert with a pair of glasses.
As they both walked out, Rupert cried happily. “How clear everything looks now! I’ll never charge at anyone again!” But, as the sight of Rupert, people scrambled into doorways and hid behind trees.
“Dear me,” said the doctor. “They’re still afraid of you. But don’t cry, Rupert, they’ll know you better soon.” The doctor phoned his friends and said, “Drop what you’re doing, and come this instant! Don’t change your clothes—come just as you are! We’re going to have a party!” Then, they went back to the doctor’s house.
Soon the doctor’s house was filled with friends. They had all come just-as-they-were. Then in came Rupert, wearing glasses and a shy smile, and looking so nice that even the littlest girl at the party was not afraid of him.

When the mother duck brought the children to the pond for their first swimming lesson. The huge grey duckling splashed and paddled about just as nicely as the other ducklings did. "That is not a turkey chick. He is my very own son and quite handsome" the mother said proudly.
However, the other animals didn't agree. They hissed and made fun of him day by day. Even his own sisters and brothers were very unkind. "You are very ugly" they quacked.

"Oh, dear. these beautiful birds will laugh and peck me too" he said to himself. But the swans did not attack him. Instead, they swam around him and stroked him with their bills. Then he came to another door, knocked at it. The door opened, and he saw a fat toad sitting. She asked what he wanted. He answered; “I should get the prettiest and finest carpet in the world”. Then she called a young toad; “Bring me the great box!”
The young toad brought the box. The fat toad opened it, and gave simpleton a carpet out of it. The carpet was so beautiful. So Simpleton thanked her, and brought it to the kingdom. datu Luwu have a very beautiful daughter. The daughter name is Tadampalik. beauty and good character made him famous in all over the country. This news came to the king's ear bone.
King Bone, had a son whose dashing and handsome. bone king intends to woo the daughter Tadampalik for his son. he sent his officers to the royal entourage Luwu.
delegates will hear coming from the bone to woo his daughter, datu Luwu very confused. every day he was nervous about the proposal. according to custom Luwu, a daughter of Luwu should not marry men outside his tribe. however, if he rejects the proposal it will happen devastating war.

One day, while sitting on the edge of the lake princess Tadampalik saw a white buffalo. he thought the buffalo would eat vegetables that are not far from that place, the buffalo was expelled. however, getting kicked out of the buffalo getting closer and eventually crashing princess Tadampalik unconscious. once sober, the buffalo licking her body started to decompose.

after arriving in the Wajo village the proposal stated earlier messengers. but, princess Tadampalik not directly answer. he handed heirloom kris, and he ordered that it be brought to the royal kris Luwu. when his father received the kris, he also will accept the proposal.
After arrived in Luwu kingdom, the crown prince immediately provide the kris and explain the purpose of his arrival. Luwu king accepts gladly. heard the news, datu Luwu and queen very happy. eventually they went to the wajo village to meet his beloved daughter.

King Kertamarta was a king from Daha Kingdom. King Kertamarta had 2 daughters, they were Dewi Galuh and Candra Kirana, both of them were beautiful and kind. Candra Kirana was already betrothed to the crown prince Kahuripan, he was Raden Inu Kertapati that was very good and wise.
However, Galuh Ajeng was very jealous with Candra Kirana, because she put her heart on Raden Inu. Then Galuh Ajeng met a witch to curse Candra Kirana. When Candra Kirana was walking down the beach, witch appeared and cursed her into snail. But the magic would vanish if keong mas met her fiance.
One day an old woman was looking for fish using nets, and keong mas was transported. Keong mas was brought home and placed in a jar. The next day the old women was looking for another fish in the sea, but no one else she could got, but when she reached her cabin, she was suprised because it the available dishes were delicious.
It transported had been transformed into a princess, and the princess was someone who cooked the delicious food. Then the old woman admonished her, “Who the hell you are beautiful princess?”
“I am a princess from Daha Kingdom who cursed into a snail by my sister because she was jealous of me,” answered Candra Kirana. The Candra Kirana turned back into a golden snail. While the prince Inu Kertapati didn’t want to say anything when he knew Candra Kirana disappeared. He was looking for his fiance by pretending as an ordinary people. But finally the witch knew his plan, she transformed herself into a raven to do something harm to Raden Inu Kertapati. On his way, Raden Inu met an old man who was very hungry, he gave the old man a meal. The oldman, actually was a kind man who had a supernatural power. He helped Raden Inu from the attack of the raven.

The Clever Chef
Once upon a time in Italy there was an old noble named Massimo who liked to hunt. Almost once a month Massimo with his maids and his beagles hunting rabbit, deer, or birds in the forest which was far from his home. One day, one of his beagle catched a fat stork. Massimo brought it home. After he arrived at home he asked to his lovely chef who was fat and had funny face, Chicibio, to cooked the stork deliciously. Mr. Massimo said, “Cook this stork for lunch, I’ll invite my friends to come and have lunch together. And it must be delicious!”.
Chicibio cooked the stork immediately after it feathers were plucked. He tried to cook very savory curry. The smell of curry stork spread in Mr. Massimo’s neighboorhood. Next to Mr. Massimo’s house there lived a beautiful woman called Sophina. She smelled it, then she went to Chicibio’s kitchen from back door.
“What do you cook, Chicibio?” asked Sophina. “I cook curry stork.” Chicibio answered.
“The smell it’s so good. Can I get it a little bit, Chicibio? Give me the wings, please!” “Uh...uh..uh.. No, don’t! Mr. Massimo will be angry!”
“So give me the one of stork’s feet. Your master won’t know.” Chicibio very loved Sophina who was very beautiful, so he gave the one of stork’s feet to her. She ran to home happily after she thanked to Chicibio.
Approximately at 1 p.m. Mr. Massimo’s guests were come. When the curry stork was served, the guests laughed because there was only one leg in the stork. Mr. Massimo was very embrassed, he only kept on silent. Mr. Massimo called Chicibio after the guests went home. Chicibio came to his master with scary face.
“Why the stork only has one leg?” Mr. Massimo asked in anger. “It’s only one, Sir.” Chicibio answered.
“Ah, it’s impossible.” Mr. Massimo denied. “Is there one-legged bird?
“Sir, you don’t believe it? So come on go to rice fields, I’ll show you there is only one-legged birds in rice fields.”
“Okey, if you can’t prove it, you’ll be fired.”
These two people went to rice fields that was not far from Mr. Massimo’s house. There were many storks which was waited for small fishes with one leg pulled up.
“Look Sir! The storks only have one leg!” Chicibio screamed.
“Wait! I’ll prove it if that birds have two legs like another bird.” Mr. Massimo pointed at the storks.
“Syuh... Syuh.... Syuh...” Mr. Massimo drove away the birds. Then the birds lowered its one leg. “Look at that Chicibio! The stroks have two legs, right?” snapped Sir Massimo. “Sure Sir, it’s beacause you sreaming. If you scream to the curry stork too like you did just now, I sure the stork will show its another leg.” Chicibio smiled.
