Working in the Scientific, Technical and Medical Division, the Production Editor is responsible for the complete production of 2-4 quarterly
updatable loose-leaf manuals and CD-ROMs. Act as a liaision between outside editors and authors, and in-house editorial and marketing
departments. The successful candidate must have a thorough knowledge of proofreading, desktop typesetting and printing. 1-3 years production editing experience with technical materials is required, as well as extensive electronic production experience. Familiarity with Ventura, XyWrite and Word 6.0 is a plus.
Scientific Editor

Edit manuscripts for style, consistency and accuracy of scientific content throughout the production cycle. Ensure that manuscripts conform to quality standards and provide all details required for the large and diverse consumer base. The successful candidate must have a B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Materials research, as well as one year of lab experience. Computer literacy, and excellent organizational and
communication skills are required. Knowledge of electronic editing using redlining/revisions is a plus. One to two years scientific copyediting, line editing and developmental editing experience is preferred.
Designer
Working in the Creative Services Department in the Professional, Reference and Trade Group, the Designer must have a minimum of 1-2 years design experience preferably with book covers and publishing. Computer skills required include Quark, Illustrator and Photoshop. The successful candidate must also have the ability to prioritize many projects simultaneously and be a team player.

Coordinate and monitor production process for College textbooks from manuscript through bound book. Act as a liaison with production managers, authors and editors to monitor progress and avoid errors and delays. The successful candidate must have at least two years' experience in production, preferably in college. In-depth knowledge of composition, copyediting, design and manufacturing is required.
Associate Developmental Editor, Architecture Contact Lisa Griffiths
Working in the Professional and Trade Division, this Associate Developmental Editor will manage Wiley's flagship publication,
Architectural Graphics Standards. Coordinate content development and serve as the point person for all activities related to this publication. The successful candidate must have a BA/AA in Architecture or at least two years' experience in the architectural or construction fields. It is necessary to have strong project management, interpersonal and communication skills. Publishing experience is a plus.
