on the GHSA Action Package Implementation

“Strengthening Cooperation to Enhance Capacities in Addressing Global Public Health Threats”
We, the participants of the Global Health Security Agenda Action Package Coordination Meeting held in Jakarta, 23-25 August 2016, appreciate the role of all participating countries of the GHSA in focusing attention on implementing GHSA Action Packages and are committed to taking action in:
• Considering a systemic integrated network as a model to allow the
integration of multi-stakeholder action.
• Strengthening GHSA Action Package coordination in coherence with the
development of capacities expected for the IHR (2005) implementation including through the use of recently developed Joint External Evaluation (JEE) tool and Strategic Partnership Portal (SPP).
• Strengthening the communication, coordination, and cooperation among
stakeholders of the GHSA participating countries, and the international organizations, WHO, FAO, and OIE. At the sub-national, national, regional and global levels, including the non-governmental sector.
• Sharing information, experiences, and best practices in implementing and
achieving Action Packages targets as efforts in accelerating the achievement of IHR (2005) core capacities and strengthening health security more broadly using a multi-sectoral One Health approach.
