for
FAMILY PLANNING ORAL CONTRACEPTIVES

This AMENDMENT NO. 6, entered into between the REPUBLIC OF
INDONESIA ("Borrower") and the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, acting through
the AGENCY FOR INTERN AT! ONAL DEVELOPMENT ("A. I. D. 11 ) .
WITNESS ETH
WHEREAS, on July 13, 1978, the Borrower and A. I.D. entered into a
Loan Agreement, designated as A.I.D . Loan No. 497-Q-053 (11Loan Agreement"),
whereby A.I.D. agreed to lend to the Borrower up to seven million United States dollars($ 7,000,000) (11Loan11
) to assist the Borrower in financing
the United States dollar costs of corimod ities and related services for the
Family Planning Program in Indonesi a; and
WHEREAS, on April 19, 1979, the Borrower and A.I . D. entered into
Amendment No . 1 to the Loan Agreement to reflect an increase of $ 7 ,000,000
in the amount of the Loan, from$ 7,000,000 to$ 14,000,000; and
ｾＯｈｅ＠ REAS, on September 26, 1979, t he 8orrm·1er and A. I. D. entered
into Amendment No.2 to the Loan AgreeIT'ent t o reflect an increase of
$ 6,000,000 in the amount of the Locn, from $ 14,000,000 to $ 20,000,000;
and
WHEREAS, on Apr il 28, 1980, the ｾ ｣ｲ ｲｯｷ･ｲ＠ and A.I.D. entered into
ａｾ･ｮ､ ｾ ･ｮ ｴ＠ No . 3 to the Loan Agreement to reflect an increase of $ 8,000 ,000
in t he amount of the Loan, from$ 20,000,000 to $ 28,000,000 ; and
ｗｾ ｅｒｅａｓＬ＠ on July 2, 1980, the Borrower and A.I.D. entered in to
Amendment No. L to the Loan Agreement to reflec t an increase of $ 5,000,000
in the amount of t he Loan, from $ 28,000 ,000 to $ 33,000, 000 ; and
WHEREAS, on De ceGje r 22, 1980, the Borrower and A.I. D. entered into

-in the amount of the Loan, from $ 33,000,000 to $ 40,000,000; and
WHEREAS, the Borrower and A. I.D. now desire to amend the Loan
Agreement to reflect a further increase of$ 4,750,000 in the amount of
the Loan, from $40,000,000 to $ 44,750,000 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Borrower and A. I. D. hereby agree that the Loan
Agreement, as amended, is hereby further amended as follows:
1. Section 3. 1 of the Loan Agreement is hereby amended by substituting
the words 11
Fourty Four Million Seven Hundred and Fifty United States (11

2. Except as hereinabove expressly amended, the Loan Agreement remains
in full force and effect in accordance with all of its terms.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Borrower and the United States of America,
each acting through its respective duly authorized representative, have
caused this Amendment No. 6 to be signed in their names and delivered as
of t he day and year first above written.
