Office has become a place to receive, to process, to distribute and to store information.
Those who work in the office administrative section are not only dealing with storing the
information, but also making sure that the information is accurate, relevant, reliable and
sufficient. The information to be distributed should be appropriate and fulfilling the
needs of the recipient in decision making.
In this information era, where the information is over loaded, an employee should be
able to short the relevant information and process them in time. Therefore an
administrative employee is suggested to obtain knowledge on office management so
that the person is capable of managing her/his office as an effective and efficient source
of information.
