Pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding relating to the joint

demarcation and survey of the common land boundary between the Republic

of Indonesia and Malaysia signed at Jakarta on the 26 November 1973 and in

accordance with:

(a)

The Boundary Convention signed at London dated 20June1891;

(b)

The Boundary Agreement signed at London dated 28 September 1915;

and

(c)

The Boundary Convention signed at the Hague dated 26March1928,

the Joint Indonesia-Malaysia Boundary Committee hereby agrees to the

following:

The Areas that have been demarcated and surveyed by the Joint

Indonesia-Malaysia Survey Teams are as follow:

The Field Plans referred to and tabulated in Annex 1 and Annex 2

are the Field Plans which have been approved and signed:

(a)

on the part of Indonesia by:

(i)

the Indonesian Co-Project Director of Kalimantan Timur or

Kalimantan Barat as the case may be; and

(ii)

the Chairman of the Indonesian Technical Committee/ Chief of

Armed Forces Survey and Mapping Centre, Indonesia.

-2-and (b) on the part of Malaysia by:

(i) the Malaysian Co-Project Director of Sabah or Sarawak as the case may be; and

(ii) the Chairman of the Malaysian Technical Committee/ Director-General of Survey and Mapping, Malaysia.

These Field Plans are hereby certified to be correct.

3. All the boundary pillars/markers and their coordinates including the abovementioned terminal boundary pillars/markers as demarcated and surveyed in the said Areas are shown in the said Field Plans.
